The Australian version starts tonight. We have been bombarded with ads for what feels like six months The coaches are Keith Urban, Seal, Joel Madden and Delta Goodrem. I like three of those cats, and have honed my ability to ignore Delta over the years, so i'm looking forward to checking it out. I think (if i could sing at all and was on the show) i would want Keith as my coach. He is damn talented and seems like he would be lovely and a good teacher. I also would hope that his wife would be around at some point of course Anyone else going to check it out? Who would you want as your coach? Does anyone watch the OS versions?

I watch the US version. I don't watch it religiously, but I try to catch it. It's pretty cool. I like it much better than American Idol. All the coaches are pretty decent (Blake Shelton gets pretty annoying sometimes, though) and I feel like the talent is much better than AI.

Watched the uk version for the first time yesterday and found myself much more excited than watching xfactor. i got quite animated at one point when none of the judges turned round for someone. its a great lineup of judges. tom jones, will.i.am, jesse j, and danny from the script. they all have different styles.

It was great. I want to get home early from my birthday dinner so i don't miss ep 2!! Keith is great, Seal is good and Joel is lovely. Even my mother has decided she loves him, even with all his "ugly ink" It amused me no one wanted Delta

The initial round must go on for awhile since they haven't even got half the amount they need. I've been enjoying it, especially Joel. I liked the US version too but I much, much prefer this one.

Third time typing this I'm loving it. We came home from dinner and watched it all online sitting around my lappie. Keith and Joel are quite simply gorgeous and lovely. Everyone in the country is adoring them from what I've heard and am reading. Was great when no one would pick Delta and she took off in tears Amazing performances. The girl with the last name Eden. Wow. Can't believe that voice came out of her. Shocked the coaches too i think! The sweet girl who is blind was wonderful. Had everyone watching in tears I imagine when she didn't know if anyone turned. And her smile when Seal told her everyone did

Still loving this. Had to laugh at the old lady going on about how awesome she is. Yes she was a good singer but if the judges don't think they can work with her voice they aren't going to turn around, talk about arrogance.

Delta's constant rejection cracks me up.

Me too How many has she gotten when there has been a choice of coach!?! Not many!! I am so Team Keith. If he said, "What's your name baby?" to me as he does I think I'd melt there on the spot

I think only 2 of them have and another said she would have if Delta had turned around.
I don't get some of the choices. Some are weak singers and some really good ones miss out.

I guess it's about what they can work with sometimes. But i have thought the same thing.... I'll have to look up how the Battle Rounds work because I have no clue. Not that they won't explain it 50 times

Each judge pits their contestants against each other. In the US version they didn't have 12 so I don't know if it will be in pairs or threes. But they sing the same song and the judge then picks who sang it better and who goes on to the next round. In that round they compete against the other judges and the audience gets to vote as well.

I've been watching the UK version, it's not bad. I like Jessie J.

Some of the song choices and some of the judges decisions have been a bit WTF. I have new love for both Madden brothers. How did I never know how awesome they are?!

The Good Charlotte lads have always been cool. Apart from Benji's taste in women What song choices weren't you keen on? I think they have been pretty good apart from a few massive cock ups (bloody Katy Firework Perry for the guys last night being the primary offender). Have agreed about most choices. Though I think some poor bastards are just cannon fodder. Like that Adam cat had any chance against the "blind angel/shooting star"

I don't know if this song is as popular over seas as it is here, but I love this rendition from this season of The Voice (US).

I don't listen to the radio, so I don't ever hear new songs until someone shows me, or I see it on shows like The Voice. But I heard this version before I heard the original, and so whenever I hear the original, I just think of her voice, which I think is crazy awesome!
