I love Ruffalo! I think he is great. Very good in Spotlight I thought. But I thought everyone was excellent in that film. I've seen a fair bit over the past few weeks: Brooklyn: Loved it. SR is fabulous. Well deserved nomination. EC is the sweetest thing ever as Tony Walters gold as always. She does a lot with her few scenes. Bridge of Spies: Rylance is wonderful. Wouldn't be unhappy with him winning tomorrow. Typical Spielberg really... Good story, well done. Steve Jobs: Yeah, Fassbender is very good. But as you said Bre, its Leo's year. Any other this would very much be a contender. I thought Kate was excellent. I am biased because I love her though. Sorkin was robbed. Carol: Blanchett is a goddess. Just so good. I don't get Rooney Mara. I cannot stand her. She is a bland and insipid in this. Why would the goddess love her so damn much? I don't bloody know. For that reason I didn't commit to the idea I don't think. Room: Give Brie the Oscar. She deserves it. I hate most kids on screen. I did not hate little Jacob. He is a sweetheart. Great film. Creed: Good film. Wouldn't be out of the realm to see old Sly up there tomorrow. He was excellent. So was Michael B. The Danish Girl: AV very good. She could win. Eddie was..... eh. I found him annoying. Committed performance yes, but I didn't enjoy it. Joy: JL was good as always. But I found this dull, dull, dull. I just didn't care.

It's just always so obvious to me that Ruffalo is acting, especially when he gets emotional.
The Martian was better than expected. All the ads looked so cheesy, so I'm glad it wasn't that most of the time.

See my one for that of late is Redmayne. With The Danish Girl and whatever the f**k he was attempting to do in Jupiter Ascending, I am getting irritated by him. The acting was on the screen in both. Most people I know are shocked about The Martian I've heard so many people (and I was one) saying they were so pleasantly surprised. Have you seen Leo yet!?

You be careful when you watch that mate. Don't want no early labour getting kicked off!

Squeezed Room in before the Oscars! Very f**ked up but really good. Brie was great and so was the little guy.

Boy - A seriously delightful NZ flick from 2010. Highly recommend. Really enjoyed it. Brooklyn - Oh my, this was lovely. Such beautiful period details - especially liked the dresses! And can I just, like, marry Emory Cohen please? Elizabeth Cohen sounds fabulous. Goosebumps - Suprisingly enjoyable! My Life So Far - Boring. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - I actually only got through half of this. I'll finish it eventually. It's okay. My housemate in London worked on it, which is the only reason I really bothered watching...Matt Smith is total lols in it, though. That Thing You Do! - Fab film.

That Thing You Do!... what a classic. The O-needers!! Liv is so gorgeous in that movie. Eilis (the exact way they say it) is my new favourite name!

My mum hadn't seen it, and did not believe me that they weren't a real band Dad was pretty convinced too! Apparently it's Irish Gaelic form of Elizabeth (or sometimes of Alice)! So yes, great choice

That Thing You Do! is one of my all-time favs. Used to play that song on repeat all the time. Last movie I watched was The Passion of the Christ -- Easter ritual. Otherwise, I've been really slacking on movies lately.

Eddie the Eagle - great little movie. I very vaguely remember it going down when I was a kid. I do recall everyone loving him. This movie captures why. TE is fabulous. For someone so cute they sure losered him up well Hugh is gorgeous as always. Great soundtrack. Good pace. Nice direction that shows just how f**king scary it must be to do ski jumping. Crazy bastards. Seriously

CA: Civil War today ;D So, so good. Definitely the best since Avengers 1. They are all so perfect, they really are. Fantastic characters, great story, fabulous battles and action (you always know what is happening and to whom), and some damn funny moments for good measure. They nailed the casting of the "new kids". Now this is a Spider-Man I'll watch the hell out of!! Great little cameo by a actress which I won't spoil. But seeing her and RDJ together made early 90's me grin wide Go see it!! It's awesome!

Saw The Martian, Joy, The Intern, Spotlight and The Big Shot on my flight.
Of all, I think The Martian was the best. Spotlight was way better than The Big Shot.
