Yeah probably. I pre-ordered it because I have a feeling they might sell out - unlike Harry Potter when they get heaps of copies in. Then again, they might be anticipating huge sales.

My friend went to Borders and said she needed to pre-order a book. The lady just said, "Breaking Dawn?" Heh. I guess it's going to be popular!

You don't say.  I was hoping that the hype of the release would cause the other books to be on offer or something. But apparently not.  I'm a bit reluctant on spending $35 on Eclipse. But it looks like I have to if I want to read it. I'm not going to wait for the library to have it as it's always out. |

Yeah my sister is getting for $22. Online at Barnes & Noble it's $14. That's probably paperback.

Yeah. But I got Twilight for a lot cheaper - around 20 bucks I think (it's why I got it). It is only New Moon and Eclipse that cost that high. I'll probably try to get someone to get Eclipse for me for my birthday.  I haven't seen the hardcover copies in the bookstores here though. |

Huge spoilers! As in every major plot point. I really enjoyed the book it was way out there in la la land and every canon writers nightmare but whatever, it was entertaining and amusing to me. An obvious case of SM getting really attached to her characters and not wanting anyone to have a unhappy ending. I liked it though. I may be one of the only ones though.lol  1.She ends up with Edward, beautiful wedding, and honeymoon in the first chapter. Jacob comes to the reception and they almost have a smack down cause Bella tells him she can have a normal Honeymoon.
2. Most hate it because during the honeymoon Bella gets pregnant she believes its the little boy from her dreams.
3. A frightened Edward calls Carlisle to discuss how to get it out, Bella hears this and Calls Rosalie the baby protector.
4. Jacobs POV; Finds a Pregnant dieing Bella. And a near crazy with agony Edward. Edward asks him to try and reason with her to offer her his stud services if a baby is what she wants. (everyone was shocked and appalled by this, personally I thought it was a very Edward move).
5. Bella refuses of course it isn't a baby she wants, its this baby.
6. Jacob has an errant thought how the baby only wants blood and death, Edward hears this and a light bulb goes off... nab the baby is thirsty!!! being half Vampire and all. Jeez yes in a house full of vampires it took a werewolf to figure that out.
7. the Alpha gene kicks in and Jacob leaves the pack who plans on killing Bella and the baby. Seth a good friend of Edwards follows. Sooner or later Leah also joins as well.
8. Jacob gets betrayed he had counted on Edwards hatred for the monster spawn to be as much as his, but once Edward starts hearing the child's thoughts he becomes a gooey eyed defender of vampire baby too. The daddy gene must have kicked in. Jacob leaves in Edwards Aston Martin.
9. Well he is gone Leah apparently comes in to champion Jake, apparently rips a strip off poor ill Bella. Edward says he'll launch her across the river if Leah comes in to hurt Bella again.
10. During the birth Bella vomits up fountains of blood and the baby shatters her spine. Edward has to cut through the placenta with his teeth pulls out a precious baby girl whom they have named Renesmee Bella holds her for all of two second before Renesmee bites her. Edward the ever gooey eyed daddy calmly hands her off to Rosalie. Jacob is doing CPR for her undeating heart. Edward breaks three of Jakes fingers swatting his hands away. (I thought this very amusing) injects her heart with his Venom and bites her neck, wrists and ankles.
11.Jacob leaves with the thought that Bella is only a corpse. He goes down to witness Roses moments of stolen motherhood and knows he must kill the monster who killed his Bella. (Tell me you see where this is going). Tada! Imprinting occurs fro Jacob. Renesme is his life now.
The rest isn't hard to guess. Bella is a super Vamp she can use her shield to block everyone or just herself, She easily controlled her blood lust, she can see Charlie within a few weeks of being a new born she gets really mad at Jacob for imprinting on her daughter. (One of the more amusing scenes) and then nearly kills him when she finds out he nicknamed her Nessie. Volturi come we meet alot of new vamps and Alice and Jasper save the day. Renesmee grows really fast and has superior intelligence. Her power is she can put her thoughts into other peoples brains the opposite of her daddy. so she shows people her story rather then tells it by touching their faces. |

My thoughts OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT. Renesmee!? And Jacob imprints on her!?! Oh god. Yay, Bella finally becomes a vampire. But what a crappy special power!? Pfft. Such an anti-climatic ending.
"There will be a huge battle! Look, lots of different vampires! Wow!"
"Okay, let's talk about whether we shall have a battle."
"....."
"Okay, no battle".
"And then Bella and Edward continued blissfully into this small but perfect piece of forever."
Urgh.
Plus, Smeyer has obviously been watching Mean Girls - Don't have sex. Because you will get pregnant and die. Don't do it in the missionary position, don't do it standing up. Just don't do it. Promise? HOWEVER! I did like The bits with Alice, and the fake ID guy that Jasper always goes to. |
