It's too soon! I haven't even put ep 19 and 20 up yet.

The LJ was just a sneak peek.

So I figured the best way to get Asta's first season done before the year ends is to set a date for it to be posted and be read by everyone (who is still interested in reading it anyway). If I know there are people counting on me to finish it, I'm able to move my ass into gear and finish the damn finale.

I have not completely neglected it. I've been slowly writing it ever since I came home but some things always seem to prop up and distract me one way or the other. I just need the discipline to sit still and finish it.

So here it is people, Asta's season finale will be out and posted here on Boxing Day (26th Dec) 2008. The remaining eps - 19 and 20 - will be out during the next few weeks.

Ep 1.19 Stockholm Syndrome - 12th Dec
Ep 1.20 Us Against the World - 19th Dec
Ep 1.21 Saoshyant - 26th Dec

As for whether or not there will be a second season, well, I'm not sure yet. I want more but seeing how the first season took so long to finish, I just don't think it's fair for the readers. But we'll see how it goes.

Yay! I'm so glad you put the next ep up! I'm still very interested in seeing how it all ends, and am willing to wait as long as it takes. I'd love to see a second season, but I understand how hard it can be to write a series and the time it takes, so I'll understand if you decide not to continue it.

I have a very busy week coming up, but I will try to read and post feedback on the newest episode as soon as possible.

You don't know how glad I am to hear that you are still interested in the series! I thought readers got tired of me and left.

I'm hoping to end the season with everything tied up but also leave an opening for a possible season 2, cause who knows what will happen. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

Although since its aligned with Angel. Will we see any crossovers in season 2?
and also will Xander and Asta ever get together?
Also wats up with Tabitha? Why is she such a big importance?

I haven't thought much about season 2 to be honest so I have no idea at the moment whether there will be any crossovers. If I do decide to continue with season 2, a crossover will be thought about as it would open up a lot of opportunities. Never say never I say.

Though I do remember way back when Beck and I were planning this series, we decided not to bring in characters from Angel into the season - especially Angel and Spike. But with Angel over, who knows.

Yes. No. Maybe. Only time will tell.

I have already decided what to do with the two of them and this question would be answered in the finale.

Yup. And the reaction from someone in the gang to what Asta has been doing might surprise you.

If there is a going to be a second season, there will be new additions to the cast, definitely. I've already have some thoughts on which characters I want in the second season. In spoilers tags in case you want to be surprise.

A love interest for Pike. Because it would definitely be interesting to see how he handles a relationship and fight the forces of evil.

A male (or maybe female) demon that would be a close allie to the gang. I thinking maybe this demon would have ties to the season's overall arc.

Typing this up just makes me want to write the second season so much!

Finished reading 1.19. It's very late here and I have to wake up "early" tomorrow (which in reality is later today) and can't really form a coherent thought right now. However, I did like the episode--a lot. It was full of intrigue and is making me even more excited to read the finale. I'll be out of town for the next few days visiting relatives for Christmas, but am hoping to read 1.20 as soon as I can spare the time after I come back home.

I'm glad you liked the episode, Marie. Ep 19 was one episode I had a lot of trouble with. One way or another I just couldn't make it work! Even when I finished with it, I was still unhappy with the ep. The many problems with that ep was one of the reasons why I couldn't get the writer's block out of the way.

I liked the episode so much.

Okay first I like how you made Asta and Xander kiss at the end. That i totally called that.. I wonder if they get together next season?

Next the whole Tabitha losing David thing was sad. Well hopefully she becomes friends with Asta and them again. Also will Pike still work with the gang even when Tabitha doesnt want to?

Willow showing up was smart. Hopefully she makes more appearances next season.

Now the whole Buffy in LA thing. That totally just caught my eye right there. I mean will she find out about Spike? And who will she blame the most?

Ahriman. Is he going to be killed if they close the hellmouth?

And back to Tabitha will she forgive Asta for wat happened?

All in all I liked the episode. Is there 22 episodes or is this it?

They didn't close the Hellmouth. By 'killing' Ahriman, all they did was make sure that Ahriman was bound to the Hellmouth again. There's no chance he would be released again unless another Astwihad comes along.

It's hard to say whether she will. What Asta did - even though you might argue it isn't really her fault - was pretty unforgivable.

Yes, ep 21 is the last for this season. I felt that the story could be finished in 21 episodes.

Ep 21 is longer than the usual eps so you can see it as a 2 hour finale or ep 21 and 22 combining to give one huge episode.

It's definitely possible. It's a question of whether I have time to write it.

Beck and I are currently thinking of season arc ideas. Who knows what will happen once we have that down.
