Regarding the Gilmore Girls movie....
I dunno. I want so badly to believe in it, but it just feels like DeJa Vu, know what I mean? How long did we all eat up every Buffy Movie rumor that came our way? And now it feels like more of the same. What's more, I have a feeling Alexis would be our SMG on this one. Watching her in interviews...she doesn't seem like the kind that's going to want to just come right on back.
I see L.A. as a beautiful blonde with dirty underwear

I'm not holding my breath for a movie. It would be nice, I guess, but to be honest, I'm not sure at this point how much I'd be interested in watching it. Despite the growing issues I had with the last couple seasons, I thought it ended on a fighting note for the show and had a rather nice season finale. I don't know that I'd want to compromise that view and the nice memory it left me with by watching the movie.

So there hasn't been any news about the movie...I don't think it will happen. I think the season finale wrapped the show up fairly well. That last shot of them through the window, perfect. Just like in the pilot.

I'm glad there isn't a movie. I don't like the idea of TV shows becoming into a movie, especially when it has ended. I've been watching season 1 lately. I never really watched season 1 - I only got into the show when I started watching season 3 - so it's like watching new episodes! And this season rekindles my love for Rory and Dean. ;D I haven't watched season 7 either (missed the season as I was NZ bound). Can't wait to get my hands on the DVD.

Isn't season 1 awesome! I think season 1-3 are definitely the best seasons, but season 7 was also really good.

Just finished watching season 1 and I loved it! Though I'm surprise to learn that Sookie was a bumbling chef. It doesn't come across that way after season 3. :-\
And yes, I gotta agree with you, the first 3 seasons (of what I remember of them. It's been awhile) were really good. I need to get season 2 now to refresh my memory.
Not getting season 7 at the moment as it's a bit too expensive. Might get the rest of the seasons first (I only have season 1 and 3 at the moment) before getting season 7. Hopefully the price of it has gone down by then.
Btw, has anyone thought of getting the complete season boxset? I would get it if it were a bit cheaper or if I didn't have some of the seasons already.

I totally would if I didn't already have 1-6! I think it's a cool idea for new collectors though.

Yes apparently I have been hiding under a rock and managed to miss the wonder of the Gilmore Girls, though to be fair it's not a show thats been show on british telestrial tv and E4 only picked it up about 6 months ago (currently airing s6)
Lorelia is absolutely my favorite character she's so strong but not afraid to admitt to making a mistake, and she takes risks even tough she's scared. Plus she's brilliently funny. One of my fav season 1 ep's is Love and War and Snow, Lorelia's realationship to snow is awsome and just the right level of crazy, the Lorelia/ Max ship gets underweay and its really funny when Rory comes home and Max is on the couch.
So when do you think you'll be making your way through the entire series Irene? It only took me about 2 months of course I was completely addicted and watched atleast 3 eps per day. I'm re-watching them again but taking it a bit slower this time
Ooh one thing I love about the Gilmore Girls is that no matter what kind of day your having you can watch it and feel better my the time the opening credits hit

I liked Max and Lorelai together. They were cute. One thing I didn't like was how the relationship ended. Lorelai just runs off and we don't get to hear what happened to Max until much later. I would have wanted a confrontation or something to know how he was taking all this. I'm only just slowly getting the DVDs. I just received season 4 today so I'll start watching it during the coming week. I've already watched season 4 when it was on TV but it's been awhile since I've last saw it and it's a whole new experience watching it from the beginning. It would probably take me a while to get through the whole series. I'm trying my darn-est to stay away from season 7 spoilers at the moment, which isn't very easy.

I liked the way that Lorelia handled breaking off her engagement, mostly because I know thats exactly how I would have dealt with it, this quote says it all "We're almost there and nowhere near at all. All that matters is that we're going". The fact that there was no confrontation was true to Max's character he wasn't the confrontation type, I think he would probably just took the news without saying much at all. I'll try to keep all season 7 spoilers out of it! but it is a great season, to be honest I don't think the Paladino's leaving had a massive effect and the way that it ended even though they didn't know made the perfect ending. Season 7 Spin off pitch Gilmore Girls meet the West Wing. Perhaps Rory made a name for herself on the Obama trail and now that he's in office he want's her on his communications team! It'd never happen but its a fun idea

I only know a few things about season 7. Like Lorelai getting married to Chris but I have no idea why. I'm excited to see how that happen because I'm fast becoming a Lorelai/Chris shipper. ;D
So who's your favourite guy for Rory, Tash?

I think Dean was great as a first boyfriend apart from his jelousy and insecurity issues, but overall he was a decent guy season 1-2. I didn't really like that they got back together in season 5, the sleeping together part was fine I could easily see how that could happen even though he was married but I just think they should have left it there.
Jess was ok apart from his inability to act like a normal person aound everyone except Rory, it got old after a while. I actually think it would have been better for Rory to lose her vaginity to Jess rather than Dean later on. I also hated how he left, he knew he was going, if not for good then for a long time, when he was on the bus with Rory and he should have manned up and said something to her
Logan I kind of hated at first because of his stupid pranks and inability to commit, I got used to him in season 6 and he wasn't quite so bad for her however I didn't love some of the changes in Rory season 6/7. Season 7..... well I won't spoil it for you but I didn't like him so much
One good thing I've just remembered about Jess that I loved is how he brought Rory back down to earth in season 6 and forced her to see how silly she was being. He gets major props for that and think it could have only been him or Lane that had such an effect on Rory

One thing I hated about Jess and Logan is how they treated Rory, esp Jess. I'm glad that she lost her virginity to Dean instead of Jess. It would have made sense if it was Jess but I thought it was more fittingly with Dean. I love Dean with her. Have you finished watching all the seasons, Tash?

Yeh it only took about 2 months from start to finish! Once I finished a boxed set I had to have the next one the only problem was that in the UK they only released season 1-3, so I got the australian boxed set 4-6 but then I couldn't get season 7 so I had to settle for the Netherlands set lol they were all fairly cheap though, don't think I paid over £15 for each. I'm re-watching them all again, currently near the end of season 2.
Which is your fav town character?

Oh I love all of the townies. Babette, Miss Pattie, Kirk...Taylor is annoying though.

Yeh Taylor can be a pain but Luke's reaction to him is always hilerious. I really wish we could have seen the scene where Luke throws a frying pan at his head!
Babette has to be my fav, she says the funniest things without even realising it and she always says what she's thinking

I love Kirk, he always makes me laugh . I started watching GG since it started airing on E4 I remember the whole situation when Kirk met his Girlfriend and he had no idea how to act!.

Can't stand Taylor. In season 3 when he wanted to get his candy shop, I wished Luke would just punch him. He is just so selfish. Gah! I love Kirk. The most hilarious Kirk thing is probably the black and white movie that he did (in season 2 I think). That was awesome!
