Lord of the Rings Pts 1-3

I love Lord of the Rings, I am follow the Progress for the Hobbit closely.

What is happening with the Hobbit? I haven't heard much about it recently.

Del toro backed out, and now it seems that Peter Jackson is now directing. Thee was a meeting that took place a few weeks ago with production people, but that was the last I heard.

There hasn't been an official statement that PJ is directing, though, right? I will be extremely stoked if he is! ;D

Got home and Return of the King was on. f**king Frodo. He really would have to be one of my most hated film characters He better not be in The Hobbit for real long!! With dampen it for me!

I still don't understand the Frodo hate.

He's a whiny, whinging little bitch! He treats Sam (who is wicked) like crap 90% of the time. Seriously, when he doesn't throw it in when they finally get there, i want to throw him in! I believe in the cinema my out loud words were, "Oh for fucks sake you little dickhead". Got a few laughs from memory so i wasn't alone in my frustrations Also, the other characters make me hate him too. Everything is for Frodo and they ignore Sam. It shits me. He went through it all AND had to put up with Frodo's whiny bitch ways, gets ditched, puts up with Gollum being a toss, has to take on Shelob and the orcs that capture the whiner....and gets no credit! So wrong.

Pretty much. Frodo was horrible to Sam. Granted a lot of that was because of what the ring was turning him into, but he was still very annoying.

I think you guys should give him a bit more credit. The ring has some crazy-ass power, so the guy is bound to get a little f**ked up. I guess I didn't think he was as annoying as you guys did. I do think Sam deserves more credit than he gets, but Frodo chose to take the ring which was a bold move and he deserves all the credit he gets.

And everyone was annoyed when Frodo was just standing there and not throwing the ring in. That was the point, the ring has that power. If that was Sam with the ring, same thing could have happened.

Nope. No credit to the whiny bitch from me Sam is the real hero in my opinion. How many times does he save Frodo's painful ass? And then he bloody carries him!! All the while being treated like shit. It's very frustrating.

I get what you are saying Bre, but when he doesn't throw it i'm not annoyed with the ring or its power, I'm annoyed with Frodo. I just want to smack the little moron and wring his neck. It's just too much for me. And it's not an issue with Elijah. I have no issue with him as an actor.
