So, Revenge of the Sith. Is that the name? meh, you all know what I mean. So who is going to see the new Star Wars flick? I am going to see it, but I think I shall wait until the hype dies down a little. I hope its better than Episodes I and II. I doubt it will be as good as IV, V or VI though. ah the good old originals.

Saw it yesterday arvo. I really liked it. It was much better than the Eps I and II but still not as good as IV, V (my fave) or VI. They wrapped everything up nicely. Everything that HAD to happed did. Hayden was brilliant i have to say, as was Ewan. Natalie wasn't in it much but with what little screen time she had she was really good. Why Darth Vader needs the big bad black suit is an INTENSE scene to watch! I was literally chewing on my hand. Yoda and R2D2 are awesome. Oh and Chewy is there. Yay!

Argh that scene with Anakin burning is horrible!! I mean, it was very well done, but I couldn't believe how horrific it was. Nice twist that it was Anaking joining the dark side that killed Padme. And how much does Yoda rock? I have an intense urge to watch eps 3-6 now.

Hayden was brilliant i have to say, as was Ewan. Ewan Macgregor was good, but I found the guy who played Anakin to be awful. He was better than he had been in episode 2, but I found him annoying. I did enjoy the movie. Great fight scenes.

So did I. Much better than the first two. but i have to agree i though Hayden Christenson could have been a lot better. he seemed kinda wooden. and the romance scenes weren't great. but the yoda/palpatine and obi-wan/anakin fights were superb.

I think Hayden was actually very good. You try and say George Lucas' shonky dialogue and NOT sound wooden and kind of ridiculous. Lucas is no doubt a genius but his dialogue is utter crap- always has, always will be....

Yeah, George Lucas really does suck at writing dialogue. Haha, but
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" was the best ever.
I've seen it twice so far.

ok now i have to be Mr. negative... by far this was the best out of the recent three flicks but in no way did any of them come close to comparing to the originals.
and to the wrapping up fine HA! it did not so much so they are going to make another extended eddition to fit in all the extra bits that was not explained in the original
ok now let's go through it... the first hour and a half was so god dam terrible it almost and i stress almost made me walk out... i was sooo bored out of my brain but when it got into it... as soon as darth vader was born and windo killed the story was the best i have seen.... it was so full of emotion that it was better than anything that could have happenned.
cloners!? why have we not seen them in the original films?... they play such an important part that they should have at least made an appearence.
jabba knows nothing of the skywalker clan and he should... having run into them on more than one ocasion... intersting that does now know of them
the best character to watch and that was worth watching was organa, he filled his position very well...
ok now they sent a message out to any jedi not to return to the temple... which means there is a posibility that there are others out there... cause we all know that in episode 4 only 4 jedi live... 6 if you count the twins
naboo played such an important role in the battles and was a solid planet for the rise of the rebelion to have and yet no such place is in the originals.
for some reason yoda takes on a huge leap in his age when really he shouldn't age at all... he is quite old when he dies but in human years... the time it takes for luke to grow up yoda has aged far to quickly.
the storm troopers have different voices and yet they are clones and should have the same
jar-jar is a member of the senate and there for a very important person to the rebelion and yet he is not in the last three movies
R2D2 for some reason does not have his memory wiped or atleast part of it
the good thing was they got rid of the confederacy which as you all know would and should have been involved in the others so good on lucas for getting rid of them.
the over dramatic NOOOOOO!!!!! scene was so bad that i laughed out in tears in the pictures... even anikin would not have made such a pathetic excuse for a cry... sadley rushed i think that ending was
also the small things that led it up to the first movie.... organa's ship making an appearence was the best thing i could see
and obi-wan picking up his lightsaber at the end taking it with him... very good
the change in uniforms in the clone troopers, they started to look like storm troopers which was good
and the voice of the emperor... ha now that was good in the film how he managed to change it was the best i had seen
ok i'm over it i'm sorry for all the spelling mistakes i have done cause when you have a father who wants you off the internet in a hurry you tend to make them

I apologise in advance, I'm about to pick at your post. I'm a big star wars fan and feel compelled to defend it You were that bored in the first half? Some of it was long-winded, but there was an awesome sequence at the very beginning with the rescue of the Chancellor. Come on, you really didn't enjoy that? Presumably Jabba has associated with hundreds, if not thousands of families. Why should he remember one particular family? because of Anakin/Vadar? The jedi's dealing may not have been important to him. You know this how? because there are no other Jedi's in the originals? Whats to say they weren't in hiding like Yoda and Obi-Wan were and died at some point during the 20 odd years betweeen episode 3 and 4? or stayed very well hidden? That would have been a far too obvious place for the rebellian base. Darth Vadar would have kept a close eye on that planet, so the rebels wouldn't be stupid enough to form their base there. Maybe he aged quicker because of his living conditions? He was no longer using the force much, and therefore aged much faster? The destruction of the Jedi Council had a visible effect on him in episode 3, over time that may have gotten worse. He probably died in the battle against the empire. It is more than 20 years later.

it's cool i made them to make an interesting debate and i apologize cause some of what i said you took differently
ok the battle itself, the first 7 minutes or so was great but the following 50 was just really bad
plus i hate the actors in it... all but ewan who played obi-wan perfectly and R2 and C3PO... but the rest was lost on the story. hayden did not do vader or anikin justice. to think that vader was once a brat like that is terrible. more sreen time for padme might have improved the story, for some reason being so important she was not in it enough. also to her death what was the cause?... it was not the choke... the robot said it was of unknown causes... was it complication in the birth?
jabba had contol over the plannet he would have known that it was anikin that killed the raiders on the outskirts. the winning of the pod race. since there was no great hidden entrance to the plannet in the second film they would have been reconised and reportedt o jabba. and given that skywalker was left with the larr family we have no idea about the system of the place... he should have known or atleast shown some interest... ok i know that was a bit of a strech but ahh well what would a film be without debate.
i was saying that there should be others possibly out there. but then again yoda would know but it is still a possiblilty for others to have survived if not why did george include that
the uniforms worn by the royal soldiers were close the rebellion troops. and i didn't say there should have been a base there i said why wasn't it in the movies?... it was a solid place to fall back on... at the very most some activity should have happenned there but there is no mension of even story telling of that plannet and it's obviouse that they were apart of the rebellion.
the destruction of the temple didn't effect him it was the death of the jedi? when it showed the deaths he could feel them passing not the temple, although it would have stired something. and there is still no evidence that it would effect him at all after all he did feel strong enough to take on the emperor.
he was a senator and would not have been involved in the battle but like you said it could have been explained in the 20 years... they might explain it in the next edditions to the originals... plus have you herd they want to go further back to when yoda was younger... i think george is brilliant but if he keeps at it it's just going to get bad... like matrix 3 bad... he should have left it to the three original films and not waste time on these new ones

Never apologise for having a different opinion. If we all agreed about everything what would be the point in discussing something? Some of the actors weren't the best, Hayden was not great as Anakin I agree. But he was supposed to be a brat lol. I didn't want more screentime with Padme. I love Natalie Portman but the love scenes were boring. I think that she was supposed to have died from a broken heart. Lame, but I think thats why. Which other actors did you not like? I thought that other than Hayden Christenson, they were all good. But Jabba would deal with a lot of people. He probably does know who Anakin was, but may not have either remembered him, or known he had a son. Skywalker might be a common name, or jabba didn't make the connection for whatever reason. He seems like the kind of person (?) who thinks only of himself and his money. And they were all celebrating in Jabba's cave house when Luke arrived on the planet, and with the jedi mind trick Luke could have evaded being caught. They weren't relevant to the story? How do we know that the emperor had not already overtaken that planet? As I think I said before, it would be a far too obvious place for the rebels to hide or fall back on. Keep in mind that it was Padme's home planet, not necessarily the home of the rebels to begin with. 20 odd years have also passed since the emperor took over, so it makes sense that if the rebels had originated from there, the emperor would have gone there and taken over, or driven the rebels somewhere else. Once he failed in beating the emperor you could see him slump. It was like something left him. I think that after hat happened he lost a lot of strength mentally and emotionally. Maybe this is why he aged so fast? I heard they were making a TV series or something, but new movies? Haven't heard anything mate.

Return of the Jedi is my favourite, but the first three are far superior to the newer ones. I hated Phantom Menace, hated Clones and could barely tolerate Revenge of the Sith. The acting wasn't good enough. A movie that big should have been cast better, and the script should have been worked on more. Surely someone who could write a romantic scene could have been brought in so Natalie Portman didn't make me cringe the second she appeared on screen?
