Spun off from the Kennedy thread, which relationship of Willow's did you like best and why?
I pick Oz. I loved the sweetness they shared together, and Oz's unassuming nature, and how he was always a gentleman. He always treated her well. I found Tara a little dull and didn't get any chemistry with her and Tara (or her and Kennedy). Kennedy I despise.

Tara and Willow had no chemistry at all and for me, ruined her character. Midway through season 4 through 5 and 6 Willow was a poor character in my eyes because of her realtionship with Tara. Kennedy i have no time for.
Oz is brilliant, i lovd how he forgave Willow for cheating. Not sure i could have done that. And again how he steps aside when he finds out Willow is in love with Tara.
Oz : But, you're happy?
So sweet.

Okay, it's kind of boring of me, but I'm choosing Oz here too. No argument from me. The characters complimented each other beautifully. "I mock you with my monkey pants" being one of my favourite lines. Also, the dichotomy between rock musician and computer nerd worked nicely, as Joss and the other writers managed to avoid stereotyping either character. In relation to Tara, the character needed a personality implant. I think she was supposed to represent the wallflower Willow from Buffy's early episodes, and showing how Willow's moved past that, while she tries to get Tara to do the same. But it just didn't work for me. As for Kennedy... leave her alone - she's hot! Seriously though, I thought the character worked. She was a departure for Willow, and her past relationships, and in many ways, it was the opposite to Willow/Tara - while Willow was bringing Tara out of her shell, Kennedy was doing the same for Willow. And as much of a spoiled brat as anyone wants to call Kennedy, let's not forget that she was there for Willow. She helped her come down from her perpetual magic high. But it's still Oz, in my mind. The dude simply rocks. That's a little harsh, isn't it? I mean, the characters didn't work well together, but isn't saying that Willow was a poor character because of her relationship with Tara just basically saying that people are defined by their relationships?

No but there character arcs and story lines are They shunted her off into the background and had her do nothing interesting.

I wouldn't go that far, but I see where you're coming from. But I think most of the characters suffered the same fate to a degree, casualties of an expanding cast.

Xander suffered in season 7 because of the expanding cast. Kennedy managed to bring Willow back into the season, giving her a link almost. Tara has the opposite affect. She was shy and timid and didnt really want to hang with the scoobies which made Willow almost distance herself from the group. Even then there were not any real decent storylines involving them as a couple, perhaps once tara was brain sucked but other than that. Kennedy i suppose at least had the whole 'easing her back into magic' and being her 'kite string'.

I'm gonna have to go with Tara. Unlike most of you I think they were very good togather. Oz was ok, but he wasnt my fave. Kennedy I despise. Its sort of a loong story why I like Tara best. I'm not gonna go into it now but maybe someday I will. And dont ask me to elaberate.

I voted for Tara. Oz was cool, but he bugged me and bored be. Pick a color and stick with it! I dunno, I just wasn't a fan of their relationship. With Kennedy, as I've stated a trillion times before, she's what Willow needed at the time.
I just think Tara and Willow had such a real relationship. I could feel their emotions towards eachother in a way I couldn't with the other two. Yeah so Tara was a boring character too, but I still thought she was great for Wil.

I'd have to agree 100% wih Bre. Kennedy was needed for Willow, but Tara was perfect for her.

If Tara was perfect then Willow would not have become addicted the way she did. Tara stood by for too long and watched, she even knew the potential risks but still stood back. Thats not being perfect for somebody.

You can't blame Tara for Willow's downfall with magic. At least Tara confronted Willow's potential danger before Wil's best friends even realized anything was wrong.

Thats because Tara lived with her, slept in the same bedroom as her, saw more. Tara stood back for far too long, when she SAW what was happening. That aside, they were dull They might have been a sweet couple, but as far as entertainment value goes... I don't think Tara was perfect for Willow either. I think Oz was far better suited to her, and he would never have ignored her magic abuse for so long.

Tara was in a greater position to know and see the problems that magic can bring. I dont blame Tara for what happened, i do however believe Tara was way too passive when it came to such a serious issue and confronted way too late to have a serious effect. Then she left her, how could she possibly imagine that was the best course of action? The woman she loved was clearly struggling yet she decided to pour more emotional damage upon her which in turn led her to go magic crazy with Amy.

She left her because Willow wouldn't stop. That's like saying someone in a relationship with an alcoholic should stay with them just so they don't drink anymore. No. I sure as hell wouldn't.

I would if I loved them. You don't abandon someone you love when they need you the most. What she hoped to accomplish there I will never know. If she thought leaving Willow was a way to snap her out of it, she was out of her mind.

People! Do we forget that Willow played with Tara's mind? Tara was trying to help Willow and Willow made Tara forget it was happening. Then after in Tabula Rasa Willow's spell to make buffy and Tara forget, went wrong Tara left. U dont blame her really. Also, I think Tara helped Willow a little by leaving. It helped her focus on stopping.

No, almost killing Dawn made her focus on stopping. I don't argue what Willow did to Tara was very very wrong, but Tara knew Willow had a bad addiction and chose to abandon her. And Willow disrespecting Tara that way further proves they weren't perfect for each other

And it did work for a while, until Tara was shot. If Tara wouldn't have died, I think it would have worked out.

So Willow messing with Tara's mind is evidence that they were perfect for each other TrueVengeance?
It had nothing to do with Tara leaving that stopped her. Nearly causing the death of Dawn snapped her out of it which came due to the aftermath of Tara's departure.

Tara leaving did not get Willow back on track - in fact it set her off on a downward spiral with Amy which led to worse abuse with Rack. It was almost getting Dawn killed that made her see she went too far
