I know Buffy is a brilliant show, but lets face it. Some of the episodes aren't great. So which episodes from each season do you dislike? Why?

There are a heap I don't particulary like at all, but these are the ones I consider really bad...
Teacher's Pet, Never Kill a Boy on the First Date, I Robot, You Jane, Some Assembly Required, Inca Mummy Girl, Go Fish, Amends, A fair bit of season 4 and 5 that I don't particulary want to list, Smashed, Wrecked, Doublemeat Palace, Sleeper, Never Leave me, Bring on the night, Showtime, Potential, Get it Done...
Yeah that list ended up being a mix of some I really hate, some I just don't like, and I missed a fair few others that I don't really like as well...
I'm not going to go into why I don't like each of them, but if you really want to know, then I'll suppose I can elaborate...

You should elaborate, give us something to discuss

I Robot, You Jane - First season episodes are generally better stand alone episodes and have no real season arc or as much depth to them, this one however, lacked a good stand alone quality. It was another of Buffy's "I juuuust waaaaaant toooo be a noooormal girl!" whinges and nothing really added to it to make this idea all that interesting. Pretty much it was just a weak plot that could have been alright if executed better, but ended up just being unexciting and boring.
Amends - I found this just to be a whole episode of Buffy/Angel angst. I'm not a Bangel or a soppy love story stuff fan so I find episodes like this, The Prom and I Will Remember You rather dull. I was never a fan of The First, I found him a lame bad guy, however I prefer The First in this episode than in any of season 7. But it doesn't change the fact that the first can do nothing but follow people around and taunt them lamely. Normally I like the looks into the past, but these ones of Angel I found rather dull and they didn't really keep my interest. Basically it was just Angel feeling all bad for himself and somehow incorporating Buffy into it to make it some Bangel emotional episode. Redeeming feature - Willow trying to seduce Oz.
Smashed - I hated evil magick junkie Willow. This is where she really got into it. Her and Amy at the Bronze was pretty much the WORST scenes of Buffy ever. As a lot of people seem to say, Willow seems to have jumped into an episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. It was absolute shit and totally degrades the magick ideas they had set up throughout the past couple of seasons. The whole 'after school special' feel to it was a part of this. "Don't do drugs kid's, it's bad!"
Okay that's enough for now...

OK episodes I hate...
Season 1 - Teachers Pet, I Robot...You Jane. The only two from the season I have a hard time sitting through. They just bore me really. In I Robot, the whole robot thing and with the geeks just bugs me. The only good bits were the Giles/Jenny scenes.
Season 2 - For a great season, it had some shockers. Ted could have been brilliant, but just fell flat for me. It seems so out of place too for some reason. Maybe I just have issues with episodes including robots... Bad Eggs just irritates me. I don't like the Gorches, I don't like the Bangel scenes much, and I don't like the whole school turning into zombies. Go Fish Could have been a great episode, but was placed so badly. It didn't belong where it was, in amongst the Buffy.Angelus storyline. And it was lame. Inca Mummy Girl ugh. Just hated it. I Only Have Eyes For You I don't understand why everyone loves this episode. I hated it. The ghost storyline, the Buffy/Angel stuff, the whole thing I hated. Except Angelus reaction to kissing Buffy. That was amusing.
Season 3 - My favourite season, and I don't think there were many I disliked here. The Zeppo. It bored me. Usually I love Xander, but for some reason am not a fan of Xander centric episodes. Dead Mans Party is just stupid imo.
Season 4 - The I in Team and any other Initiative heavy episodes areound that time. I hated the Initiative and Maggie Walsh. Boring and lame. Where the wild things are too much Riley/Buffy sex, not enough story. Lame.
Season 5 - Real Me Stupid intro to Dawn. And the Harmony gang was irritating. Weight of the World seemed like too much of a dragging things out episode and bored me for the most part. I'm sure there are others in season 5 I'm not fond of but I can't think of any...
Season 6 - Doublemeat Palace is the only season 6 episode I hate. The whole episode just bugs me, and is so hard to watch.
Season 7 - Unlike many, I actually don't mind most of Season 7. There are parts in a lot of the episodes I dislike, but I don't think I hate any episodes except maybe Potential.

We can disagree here right? Amends-
I 95 % disagree. I loved Amends and The Prom. IMO two of the best episodes of season 3. But I didn't really care for IWRY. I'm not a huge fan of Buffy crossing over to ANgel.
Again, disagree. I loved the First. He/she was my favorite big bad.
Pain doesn't always have to be physical. Some of the worst pain caused by taunting, especially reminding you of things you would love to forget. That's what drew me to The First. He could inflict pain without it being physical.
Smashed - I didn't really like that episode too much either. Amy annoyed me. She was fine in a few earlier episodes, but then she just got old.
I agree. I hated the Gorch brothers. But I didn't mind the school turning to zombies part. But they could have done it without nasty egg-bug things. They weren't scarey, just annoying.
I don't care that much for it either. Some of the scenes were good, but it annoyed me how the scoobs were all bitchy to eachother. But I did like Oz fighting lol. He looked so cute.

Pain doesn't always have to be physical. Some of the worst pain caused by taunting, especially reminding you of things you would love to forget. That's what drew me to The First. He could inflict pain without it being physical. Hey I'm all for some taunting. I loved Angelus in season 2, a whole lot of that wasn't exactly physical beating. But the First ONLY taunted. He had nothing behind it. There was no evidence of the power he supposedly had. Not until he bought the uber around, did he do anything that might make him perceived as a threat. And even with the uber, that was just one vampire. [not to mention one extremely shitty vampire with shitty continuity that changes how difficult it is to kill throughout episodes. But that's another arguement.] Basically, I just don't think taunting can be anything, without some sort of action behind it. I forgot about Amy. I hated her complete change in character. There was no reason for it. I thought bringing Amy back (with increased powers that she seems to have developed while being a rat) as a sole reason to throw willow over the edge by being sabrinas, was just crap.

I wasn't a huge fan of the First as a villian either. It was just lame. The first didn't become scary... ever. The ubervamp was scary. Caleb was really scary. The first - lame.

Another thing that drew me to the First, was that it was the creator of all evils (obviously, being the First evil). So you guys like Mr Uber and Caleb (Nathon Fillion rules!), but if it wasn't for the First... they wouldn't be there. IMO, no physical torture needs to occur to make me feel pain. If there's just taunting about horrible memories/experiences, that would be a hell of a lot worse than a scratch.

It would, but the First just wasn't interesting to me. It controlled the bads, but did nothing itself. Honestly, Caleb was more of the BIg Bad to me, especially when he was combined with the first's essence or whatever happened there. Taunting... yeah lame.
Another episode I hate is Never Kill a Boy on the First Date. I actually liked it the first few viewings but now it just bores me.

Lie to Me has now become the worst Buffy episode ever.
I didn't really enjoy the storyline in the 1st place it just seemed too corney + pathetic, but lately I can't even stand to watch it. The only thing that kept me from abandoning it completely until now is the Dru/Angel development- plus David looks hot, but not even that can save it now.

Yeah, I just watched it yesterday and it bored me too. A lot of the first season bores me.. Go Fish is probably the worst episode that I can think of right now. I never liked it that much...

I really don't hate Go Fish I just think it was placed badly. It seemed really out of place in amongst the Angelus/Buffy storyline and thus is annoying to watch.

True. But the thing that bugged me the most was the storyline. I could imagine the smell of the skin, and it made me lose my appetite..

OMG, Beck! The Zeppo bored you! *shocked* I thought it was super funny, and I love the Bangel bashing scene LOL
I can't stand S7, I hate it, I tried watching it again hoping that my view of it will change but I couldn't. The first six episodes were nice but right after that? I hate that season ... even though S1 is considered the worst ... I enjoy watching its episodes ... S7 though I couldn't stand sitting there watching my fave characters acting out of character, or not appearing at all except sitting there letting others control their lives, I'd yawn bored at the bad flawed plot.

I know, I didn't like The Zeppo I just found the zombies to be lame and boring. There were good moments, the Faith/Xander bits, the Bangel mockage... but overall not a fan.

hmm controversial topic lol i cant say that i hate any of the episodes, i skip certain episodes because they just feel out of place or slows the season down a little so the ones i am listing are the ones i tend to skip during a marathon watching session i robot you janesome assembly requiredreptile boygo fishannegingerbreadhelplessliving conditionsbeer bad (god buffy pining over parker it makes me want to quit watching the show at that point listening to fearthe bodyall the waysmashedwreckeddoublemeat palacehells bellsnormal againthe killer in mefirst date (absolutely love giles speech at the end though about not the time for dating and fooling around, i wanted to tell them all the same thing) and thats all of em lol i loved season 2, angelus, spike & dru was a treat and season 3 and 4 also kept me entranced but i think season 5 failed to be perfectly honest, i cant enjoy season 5 that much at all, but i go through it as i am an obsessive lol i really didnt like willow in season 6 right from the off when she practically forces everyone to help her raise buffy, and then when she tell giles not to piss her off grrr i unlike many of you it seems absolutely loved season 7.....now lets just put kennedy aside and into a cage and plug our ears when buffy gets her speech on and its a cool season i loved the fact that after all these years of sticks and stones we got a big bad whose words do hurt ya. was xander underused, i would say possibly yes but i think maybe it was time for him to be underused. there i am done, just post all your complaints and death threats right here and i will get back to ya lol

Helpless? Are you serious? I love that episode! Giles betrayal of Buffy, him kicked out of the Council... and when Buffy finds out what Giles did to her kills me everytime *sob* And Normal Again is one of my favourite season 6 episodes - and I love most of season 6! I also don't mind Beer Bad, though I know its an unpopular episode I don't hate season 7 either, by the by
