I never hated her, I found her interesting from the beginning. I liked her frankness, it made me laugh

I have to say that my least favorite character is Rona. As Bre said, she had a negative opinion about everything and she just was a little too whinney for me. My favorite character of course id Buffy because I like the way that she takes charge and is a really good leader.

Few years since I replied to this but my opinions have changed (I think) alot to read back on . Favourite- Giles, I think he is great (except for crappy season 7 writing) his relationship with Buffy grew over the years and we got to see him stand up to Buffy when he seen something was wrong. Least Favourite- Most of the potentials were incredibly annoying. Warren, I really dislike the character he annoys me to no end.

I liked many of the annoying character's on the show because they were meant to be annoying. However, I did have a difficult time warming up to Tara and for the most part I never really liked Andrew, he always seemed to me like a poor imitation of Jonothon. Many of my friends disliked Dawn but I always thought she just could have been better used. I always felt sorry for Riley.

I didn't mind Dawn in Season 7, but seasons 5 and 6 they made her far too whiney. Lets not forget that in Season 5 Dawn was the same age as Buffy and co were in Season 1. So there was no excuse for it, I hate the excuse "but she was a kid". Season 6 you would expect her to go off the rails a bit, her sister had died AND she was the reason why. Her resurrection would've screwed with her head a lot too. But the attitude that Buffy should do everything and anything with her all the time grated on my nerves.
Why didn't you like andrew? I thought he was funny, my favourite of the trio by far.

I didn't like dawn too much right through the series. She was just too immature. There were moments I didn't like Giles either but he can be redeemed for previous awesomeness.

Caleb, Oz and Doyle should be waaay higher! And I would have put Buffy as #1.

Yeah, Buffy would probably by #1, too. And I agree about Caleb, Oz, and Doyle. Maybe I'll make a list, too.

That's a heck of a list. Some of those names I don't even remember but recall the faces

I can't think of many characters that I hated. My feelings tend to go from love, like and indifference. A character has to do a lot to get me to hate them when the character isn't meant to be hated. Buffy has had moments where I wanted to punch her, but never to the point where I hated her guts.
Favorite characters: Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles, Anya, Faith. I agree that Dawn's character could have been used better. I liked when they made you think she was a villain and when she started questioning her own existence, but neither lasted for very long. Dawn should have been on the brink of insanity after finding out she was the Key. All of her memories were lies, and while I don't agree it was her fault Buffy died seeing her blame herself for Buffy's death in Season Six would have been good character progression.
