I'm surprised we actually don't have a thread on this A thread all for discussing the characters on BtVS (well and ones that cross over to Ats if we must ) My favourite character is of course Spike, love everything about him. His hotmess is of course just a bonus, not why I like him. He's just an interesting character all round. He was a great bad ass and I loved his development throughout the series. And Spuffy was hot Characters I hate... Kennedy. Bossy bitch. She's the only character I hated, well and half the other potentials who were just annoying but i can't remember their names. Angel annoys me on BtVS cause he's so boring, but I don't hate him until Ats Season 5.

Favorite character(s): Xander is probably my favorite overall. He's so witty and always says something funny when it's needed to be said. His facial expressions are genius as well. Also, Buffy is probably my second favorite. She seems like a person I would hang out (not just becuase she's the slayer) and she has awesome clothes. Least favorite character(s): There are none that I hated, but I didn't find a need for Olivia or Kennedy. Yeah, it was nice Willow "got over" Tara. But other than that there wasn't much about Kennedy that stood out.

Xander and Cordelia. Xander makes me laugh and has most of the best lines on the show. I like him because he's not the big hero. Cordy I just love because she's a bitch I didn't like Tara, I found her boring.

Nope, there's not one character on any Joss show that I hated. Yeah, some annoyed me, but they were supposed to. And I kind of liked that Kennedy was bossy. If all the potentials were all happy-dappy to eachother, it would be boring.

I'm shocked that we agree on something I didn't hate Kennedy either. She was a lot more interesting than most of the other potentials.

Yes, I'm quite shocked as well! She was a lot more interesting then most of the potentials. The potential that probably bugged me the most was Rona. I liked her, but she always had a negative attitude.

A couple of days ago I came to the conclusion that as it's getting further and further from the time when I saw the episodes for the first time, my opinions are drastically changing. Not just on who and what I like better, but the way I judge who and what I like best.
Because of this, I now dislike SO many smaller aspects of the shows. I still like the shows, but certain characters, episodes, plot arches etc, are just starting to really irritate me.
So because of this new revelation, I present the new and updated character opinion list by Kelly (BtVS and Ats).
Love - Doyle, Wesley, Giles, Oz (same old)
Neutral - Cordy in BtVS, Spike (big change there. I'm really pushing it to even get him on the 'neutral' list...), Xander sometimes, Fred, Lorne, Willow s1-3.
Dislike - Anya (another change), Angel, Drusilla (big change), Gunn, Xander sometimes, Willow from s4+, Tara (I have no idea why I hate her so much now...), Kennedy, Riley, Cordy in Ats (same old).
Okay that is all the characters I can think of off the top of my head.

My Favorite- suprise is Xander, but Angel, Faith and Spike are right up there too! My reasons are similar to everybody elses- he was the heart, he has a good soul + the best of intentions, he was brave, he was loyal, he was funny and he never gave up no matter what.
My least favorite would be the potentials as a whole because they took a lot of screen time away from Xander, but also Rona because of her attitude towards Buffy + Kennedy for being a bitch

She was cool because she was one of the people who are like "I don't care what you think", and I think that's an awesome characteristic for someone to have. Also, I thought it was entertaining that she was bossy. As I've said in above posts.

I agree with you, I liked Kennedy. I tend to like the bitchy female characters on Buffy She's not more of a bitch than Cordy was in the first season.

WTF? You guys actually liked Kennedy? There were no redeemable qualities to her! Yeah, Cordy was a bitca in BtVS at the start but not like Kennedy "I am the boss" bitchy! I love love love when Faith tells her to shut up.

Me too... lol, I love stirring up things. Yes, Kennedy was a good character, full of energy. I loved it. She was a person who didn't give a shit what people thought, and it was great. I didn't really think her and Willow should have hooked up, they weren't really good for eachother, even though Wil needed to move on. But that's not a reason to dislike her.

I have to agree with beck. It was alright(on some terms) that she was with Willow. But she thought that she was the boss of everyone, and when she wasn't, she made sure that she would be. I thought that it was ridiculous. Especially her attitude toward Buffy.

Buffy's attitude was worse than Kennedy's. She was far more bossy and bitchy than Kennedy was.

Well, if I'm remembering correctly, Kennedy wasn't the only one to go against Buffy or think Buffy was too bossy or whatever. Rona, Faith, and later even the Scoobs. So, I'd say her attitude towards Buffy wasn't much different then Rona's was (for example).

Buffy's attitude was worse than Kennedy's. She was far more bossy and bitchy than Kennedy was. That is your opinion, and I don't want to rant right now, so I won't say anything on it. But Kennedy could have atleast had respect for the main Slayer. Buffy kind of had a reason to be bossy and bitchy. She had to lead the potentials in a war against the First. She had to be strict if they wanted to win.
