He's definitly grown as an actor and I think if you judge by the scene in GOF when he comes back with Cedric's dead body it seems he will be able to do it.
I thought we could start some Book 7 speculation. You know, things we think might happen and things we want to happen. It will obviously contain spoilers.
Since whether or not Dumbledore is dead has already been discussed I won't start with that. How about relationships? Any you think will defintly happen? Any you are hoping will happen. For me, I think it is clear by now that Hermione and Ron have feelings for each other that go beyond friendship. I'm not exactly a fan of them together (I was a Harry/Hermione shipper for a long time) I think in the seventh book their feelings for each other will be more blatant and they might even admit it to each other, but I don't think they will date. Harry needs them right now and for them to start a relationship at this crucial time would be very unfair to him.
I have become a huge fan of Harry and Ginny and was very sad to see them end their relationship in book 6. I am hoping that when all is said and done they might find their way back to each other. Unfortunately, that goes directly aganist my theory that Harry will die in the seventh book. (That should be discussed later)
This is a minor relationship, but I hope Remus and Tonks will be able to get together. They obviously have feelings for each other and I'd like to see them have a little happiness in the dark times everyone is now facing.
So...relationships...what do you guys think?

Well, i dont think the 7th book will be relationship centred. I dont think Hermione/Ron or Harry/Whoever will really come under scrutiny until all is said and done. Possibly Hermy/Ron may kiss when they see their impending deaths looming round the corner. Personally i found the Harry/Cho and Ron/Crazy snogging gryffindor girl, boring parts of the book. Though its neccesary and i read it i dont get excited about it or really care about it. I want to get to the fighting Voldy parts and the mystery unravvelling parts.

I'm under no illusion that the book will be romance/relationship centered at all. It defintly won't be. I'm just wondering what relationships you guy think will be in the book. And what relationships you would like to see.
But, if you're not into that topic, how about...is Snape good or evil?
For the longest time I had faith in Dumbledore, trusted that if Dumbledore thought Snape was loyal to him and the Order that he really his reformed. He's just an ass, not evil. Then he goes and kills Dumbledore. That just puts a stamp on his head that says "I am evil." I know people who believe Dumbledore is still alive (I am NOT one of them) will say it was all an act or it was a plan they agreed on, but I disagree. Snape is an accomplished Occlumens (spelling?) he can hide his thoughts from Voldemort so I am sure he can hide them from Dumbledore.
So, Snape: Good or Evil?

Snape is good. If they make him evil I am burning all my books. NO WAY EVER does Dumbledore beg for his life. NEVER. He was telling Snape to go ahead with it.

I agree with Beck. Im a strong believer that Dumbledore was begging a friend to take his life.

Hmm...I guess that does make sense...maybe I was looking at it in too much of a black and white way...
So...next question...Do you think Aberforth Dumbledore will make another appearance or is his purpose for the series over? I find it hard to believe that she would completely neglect his character, but I can't imagine what purpose he would have in the next book besides Harry possibly talking to him about Dumbledore. And with everything on Harry's mind I don't think he would consider that...though I may be wrong. Agree? Disagree?

Well i cant really remember much about Aberforth Dumbledore. Isnt he the innkeeper at the Hogs Head?

Yeah, that's him. I actually can't remember details right now, but since he's Dumbledore's brother...Do you think that matters or is he done?

Everything in the books matters I think, the mention of Dumledore's brother is something I don't think would have been mentioned for no reason

I have more book 7 specualtion questions! What can I say? I like to know what you guys think!
1. Is R.A.B. Regulus Black? It seems like a common consensus and it does fit. But since so many people think that's what it is I begin to think that that is NOT it because JKR has that way of doing what you don't expect.
2. Why did Voldemort tell Lily Potter to stand aside when he went to kill Harry at Godric's Hollow? From Harry's memory where hear that she begs for Harry's life and Voldemort says, "Stand aside, you silly girl" Was he going to spare her? If so, why? Why didn't he just kill her immediately? Is it possible this WON'T be answered?
3. Is Malfoy good or evil? I don't think he is really either. I think he has simply always been an arrogant brat (among other things) and aspired to follow in his father's footsteps. It was, of course, expected of him. We see, though, that he couldn't bring himself to kill Dumbledore. Was he just frightened since it was his first time? Or did he really not have it in him? I think it's the latter.
4. Will Harry ever master Occlumency? We all know he should, but who would teach him?
5. What happened to Ollivander? In a fan fiction I read the author suggests that he was taken by Voldemort so he got make Voldemort a new wand. I think that makes a little sense, but not a lot. There was no struggle and though Ollivander is old it is never insinuated that he's an incompetant wizard. I don't think he has loyalty to Voldemort, either. Is it possible he has simply hidden himself?
That's all for now...thoughts?

1) I think it could be. What with that mysterious locket finding its way into the House of Black
2) This i have no idea about. Maybe she had a "special gift" that Voldemort would rather have used to his advantage.
3) He's certainly not good but i dont think he is pure evil. He does bad things without often thinking of the consequences and like Dumbledore said, his attempts to murder him seemed almost as if he really didnt want to.
4) Harry isnt calm enough to master Occlumency for me.
5) I think he simply went away into hiding as he would remember what it was like first time around.

I never read past the 2nd book because it didnt interest me all that much. But, the movies are ok. I'm not much of a book person so thats why. But, do Ron and Hermione ever actully get togather? Or, do they kiss later? Can someone tell me what happens in book 6? Like is the rumor true? Do the three really die?

Well they certainly dont die in book six because then book seven would be strangely poor. Ron and Hermione have not yet gotten together but the signs are still there.

The seventh one hasn't been released yet.
1 - I think it probably is. I know JK puts in a lot of twists but I think this is one of the rare things the fans may be right about.
2 - Voldemort went after Harry in particular, maybe he wanted him dead quick and would have left Lily in her misery after killing Harry :dunno: Or there is something in that that hasn't been explained yet.
3 - Scared little boy wanting approval from his father, but not evil. Draco I think has a good heart deep down, he's spent too long around his evil family to not try and mimic it, but I think in book 7 he will try to help rather than be bad.
4 - Agree with Glenn
5 - Hmmm.

Nope, seven will be the final installment. That is out in July i believe. It's coming out in July? That's when the fifth movie is coming out! Two Harry Potter things in one month! That's going to be a great month. Where did you hear that rumor? I don't think I've ever heard that. Then again, I hear rumors from fellow Harry Potter fans who know that all three dying in the sixth book is ridiculous. I don't even think all three will die in the last book--though Harry might. I have problems thinking that he will live happily ever after. And you are definitly missing out not reading the books. I don't read a lot of books, either, but I find it hard to put any Harry Potter book down. I'm even going to re-read them soon in preparation for the fifth movie. Seems like Glenn, Beck and I pretty much agree. Any other thoughts?

Sorry to double post but its been a while....
Who do you guys think will die next? I heard 2-3 people were gonna die. Everyone says Harry but thats not a big enough twist, thats what evryone expects. So I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Ron and Hermine......

I haven't really put much thought into it. And since you've heard that 2 or 3 people die I wouldn't consider that fact. No offense, but your source is ridiculous and obviously doesn't know much about Harry Potter judging from the last rumor you posted. Book 7 Speculation Questions:
1. Who will lead the Order now that Dumbledore is dead? I guess the logical choice is McGonagall since she's always been seen as second in command at Hogwarts, but I think Moody is more qualified for the job. Don't know why exactly... 2. Will the ominous veil in the Department of Mysteries ever come up again? What's really behind it? I will openly admit I have no clue. Is it trapped souls? 3. Will Harry's ability as a Parselmouth be used? I guess this isn't much of a speculation question, but I guess I would like to see more of it. Don't know why 4. Will we ever see Grawp again? 5. Will Harry go back to see Dumbledore's portrait? It may help him a little, but Harry is really emotional and I don't think he'd want to go see it. 6. Will the seventh book be solely focussed on the hunt for the remaining Horcruxes?Should I open a thread like this in the Hogwarts section of General Chat?
