Episode 9 I really liked the scene with Elena and Rebecca, too. I totally wasn't expecting Elena to stab Rebecca, but I think it showed a lot of character growth. There's been a lot of good growth between Damon and Elena, too. So great! IS is wonderful.
At least the break will give me time to finish watching the first two seasons. It looks like they're setting up for a great second half to the season, though, so it will be hard for me to wait! |

Was there an episode of Vampire diaries where Damon saves Elena from a car crash? I read something about that episode and I don't think I ever saw it! lol.

Ooh! I remember that one! Elena swerves to avoid what ends up being a vampire in the middle of the road...Damon rescues her..."kidnaps" her to Georgia...pays a visit to an old friend in the hopes of being able to free Katherine...The first real sparks of something between Damon and Elena in that episode. One of my favorites so far.

I just watched ti last night VIA Netflix. VERY weird seeing badass Damon who didn't care who he killed. He still is quite non nonchalant with killing but it shows just how much he has grown being around Elena. I loved her comment "Don't you forget it" when she said "and I saved you!" "Yes, you did" |

Yeah, there were some great lines between Damon and Elena in that episode!
I watched Miss Mystic Falls tonight. Eep, I don't even know where to start. Let me just say that I loved how Damon stepped in as Elena's escort when Stefan went AWOL with one of the contestants. The look on his face when he saw how desperate she looked when she would end up with a last-minute replacement escort...and then how he looked at her as they were dancing. GREAT! I love season 1 Stefan and Elena together, but I'm loving Damon and Elena, too! It was a great scene between them, and then at the very end when she says she's staying in the basement and he just sits down with her. !!!
I'm glad that Bonnie helped with Stefan when they finally found him and that she covered up for him when Sheriff Forbes asked if the girls had scene anything, of course she realizes what it would mean for everyone if she told the truth, but you've got to wonder what's keeping her from being her old self around Elena. It can't just be because of Stefan, unless she knew somehow that he had changed (drinking human blood)...can it? I mean, that wouldn't necessarily keep her from being herself around Elena when it was just the two of them. I wonder if Elena told her more than just that the plan at the tomb had failed. Bonnie and Caroline spoke everyday, so it has to be something against Elena...does Bonnie blame Elena for her grandmother's death? I guess I'll find out.
I'll find out tomorrow if my theory about how Stefan and Damon are turned is correct. I can't wait!

Ep 9 Finally got to watch it! I agree Loz, I wanted to see a kiss dammit! But it was still a very sweet moment between Elena and Damon. I loved seeing Klaus playing beer pong. But yeah, I agree with most of what you've all said. It was a really good episode, and I'm excited for the show to start back up in Jan! |

Ep 10: Great ep and..... Finally we get a real kiss!!!!! Damon: "You know what, if i'm going to feel guilty about something i'm going to feel guilty about this". He is so awesome I know they are actually together but damn IS and ND have wicked chemistry together on screen. Will discuss the rest later on. Might watch it again after i come home from dinner  |

Very awesome start to the year!. I knew Jeremy was compelled, it was the only thing that made sense to me the second they mentioned he was fired. Poor Alaric, he died again! Damon was lovely this entire episode. He is the only male character on tv (Other than the hot sheriff from once upon a time) who is completely swoon worthy ND is such a fine actress, the scene where she has Damon compel Jeremy was incredibly sad (for her) it was done perfectly. Stefan plays the baddish guy pretty well, I am surprised at that. Well, the kiss was pretty damn awesome. It was clear Elena was into it to! I don't really care about offscreen romances but I agree you can see the chemistry between them and they do make a pretty rockin couple. I am surprised they started the season with the kiss, good surprised I just hope they continue to strengthen Elena's relationship with him, he must know that she is falling more and more for him. |

12 (i think) I still adore Elijah What a wicked dinner party with the two sets of brothers who have a LOT in common. Should be very interesting with the whole family back together. Klaus is starting to shit me though so i hope his mother puts him in his place. Poor Caroline  I really wish they would stop killing poor old Ric! What is this, the 5th, 6th time?! I did like that Elena had to kill him this time though. She is tough. |

Elijah is awesome. I even love when he is being an arsehole I agree with Klaus, he is just frustrating. Although I have to say they make a pretty Handsome family. I suppose now Rebecca will go after Elena but Klaus needs Elena for her blood so I would assume that should protect her life? hmm, Poor Ric, first it was Damon killing him and now Elena! I really enjoy his moments with Elena now, they are like family and I loved how Elena told him not to be ashamed or feel guilty about bringing possible pyscho chick home. Elena and Ric have both lost so many people they loved it is good they have each other. I thought Ric's "Your on speakerphone..Dick" comment when Elena was on the phone to Damon and he said something about Ric was hilarious! |
