I liked her hair too Nico. I thought Damon was the one who looked especially gorgeous though!  I don't know what I want to happen. I've always said its an easy choice, and I still believe that, but how would it go with them "officially together" I don't know. Next week and "the talk" Elena requests should be interesting. |

I'm finally almost caught up and have finished season 3. Will watch the first 6 eps of season 4 sometime this week. I really don't like Rebekah but I do feel sorry for her. Love Klaus despite how evil he is, but Elijah is my favourite. I missed him for most of the first half of season 3, keep wondering when he would be undaggered and come back. Disappointed he wasn't around more though. I hope in season 4 we get to know Kol better. Not happy Alaric is gone, or the way they took him out. Having him leave as 'dark Alaric' took away from his death scene imo but I get that it was necessary for the plot. Still sucks.
I'm assuming Tyler isn't really dead and Klaus will somehow get his body back somehow. Alaric survived Klaus' possession so Tyler must. Klaus in Tyler could make for some interesting and confusing scenes for Caroline, who I adore. Actually I think I like all of the characters. Stefan grates on me a little because of how fast he went from "I dont care what you all think" to "I love her Damon" in 5 seconds flat. He is much improved over season 1-2 Stefan though. WTF his saving Matt. I know she told him to but AS IF he would let her die like that, he didn't know she'd had vampire blood. Made no sense. He's strong as, lift the bloody car not just the person! Anyways....

All caught up now. Thoughts on season 4 so far - Tyler and Caroline are in for a lot of struggles if he can ever forgive her. I'm pretty pro Klaus and Caroline so that is fine with me, but I am not sure how Klaus is going to win her over.
Matt is redeeming himself, enjoying him this season. I am glad finally someone isn't dumb enough to blindly trust some stranger who mysteriously knows so much. My guess is that the cure is all bullshit and this Professor guy is that Solis he was talking about and that is what the tattoo leads to. Which is the "big bad evil". The whole cure thing is retarded so that is my hope anyways. Perhaps the ritual that will be needed once they are lead to the "cure" requires a vampire sacrifice and that is why that rumour has been started. And why he needs Bonnie to stay safe as a witch is always needed for these things.
Stefan and Damon and Elena... eh. I am glad she and Stefan finally broke up, she is far better suited to Damon imo. I do wonder if it will cause ripper Stefan to reappear. I want Katherine to reappear too. And Elijah. I am seriously missing Elijah. I don't know what vampires they are planning on having Jeremy kill now either, they obviously will and he'll want to help Elena. |

Well it's about time!! Hot scene. Though i think they could have chosen better background music. The two other iconic Elena and Damon moments (dancing at Miss Mystic and the motel) have these incredible songs behind them. This wasn't. How is she sired to him?? I know it will be explained and we will get details but I was a bit, "Hang on, what??" last night.

I'm guessing something about Elena's blood also being the key to Klaus' hybrids which are sired to him. I'm not sure what I thought of this episode, I was looking forward to them hooking up but I am not sure if I like where they are going, that Elena only wants Damon because she is sired to him. I found it weird that she went to the mansion to live instead of Carolines anyway lol.
I did like Damon's comment to her when she said "my brother wants to kill me" and he said "Join the club" haha.
I like that Matt is getting a backbone and Jeremy is getting a valid storyline. I still think the cure is ridiculous.

So is the siring thing. Katherine was not sired to Rose so the doppelganger blood means nothing regarding siring. I think it is a stupid plot thing to keep the triangle alive. Elena had feelings for Damon even before she was a vampire. Cure is stupid too but my theory is that there isn't really one and it is this "greater evil" that will be released with the map. Stefan lost major points this ep with me. Booh Stefan.

Right, Elena kissed Damon before she was a vampire to. Even Caroline said "its super rare but it happens" and that to me made the entire thing ridiculous.

I think they are trying to please everyone. Her and Damon together for those who want that coupling. And for those who want Elena with Stefan it's a way of spinning that she was controlled. It's bullshit really because as you said, she's always been attracted to Damon and has kissed him of couple of times. Hell without Jeremy's interference at the motel last year, who knows how far that would have gone.

Loved this one! I thought Elena got some of her spark back to. I am glad she reconciled with Caroline and I enjoyed Stefan in this episode as well. I just love Damon and Elena together, you can see the chemistry and they click. I like how the did the last scene with Elena saying "I know I'm sired to you" .
Beck, you pretty much nailed it with the cure shit.

Yeah, it was better that's for sure. I like that Elena wasn't all, woe is me and freaked out about being sired. She thought about it rationally and listened to Tyler. I do hope they stay together awhile because like you said Nico, IS and ND as Damon and Elena are so damn good together!

Caroline's hatred of Damon and blind forgiveness of everything Stefan did shits me too. His ripper ways were way worse than anything Damon has done. I wish Lexi hadn't died so early in the show, I love seeing eps with her. I missed Klaus too. And I want Elijah back  I knew Shane was a rat bastard! I assume the 12 sacrifices will be the hybrids. I hope Bonnie learns expression is a dark magic, but knowing this show Damon and Stefan won't mention the expression magic to anyone. |

Caroline holds a grudge against Damon because of the whole using her as a walking blood bag in the early days. He also tried to kill her father.
Weren't there 12 council members blown up? So couldn't he already have it and is trying to get Bonnie on board? Why I don't know. Just wish she would die. Annoying ass character.

I really liked seeing Jeremy and Elena back together and I liked Damon in this episode too. I was frustrated by how it ended.

I felt bad for Klaus. He hasn't killed anyone or done anything evil for awhile, and likely (well maybe) wouldn't have if he hadn't been provoked into it. I was pleased to see Caroline and Stefan finally acknowledge that they have done pretty bad things too.

So what was the 3rd sacrifice? Shane said that one hadn't happened yet but Silas is now awake?? Or did he mean the one that woke Silas itself, one person and not 12?

Really? I am still enjoying this one. My hopes are they get the cure stuff over with and start exploring Elena's vampire state more like it is permanent. They have always viewed it as being something that wouldn't be there long and I view it as a book and all books have an ending...perhaps it is time VD started heading to its ending.

I am still enjoying it but my favourite scenes always involve Klaus. I was disappointed Kol was killed so quickly too, I was enjoying his character.
