I find it hard to believe that anyone is okay with the idea of Vampires sparkling . I laugh reading comments by both VD fans and Twilight fans, it gets very heated  . |

That's a lame argument, vampires have always been cool! True dat!. Vampire diaries is a wee bit more realistic (as far as vampire/human love is concerned) if I knew a vampire who sparkled I would have to laugh..in his face, kind of takes away some of that mystery |

I caught an episode of this last week, didn't like it  I'll give it another chance this week but the only character I found at all interesting was Damon. The witch friend of the main girls might prove to be interesting as well but as for the main girl? Blergh. |

Hmm. I like the main girl. She reminds me of a young SMG sometimes, and as how Bella should have been in the movie. Last night's episode was pretty good. The vampire secrets come out! And it isn't all happy romance-y! |

I like her to she acts her age which I like. Beck the first episode is the worst, and I didn't think it was that bad. I loved last nights episode! I love the lore on turning a human into a vampire that they used, I was on the edge of my seat . Damon kicked butt I loved him dancing around for a second he was a normal 17 year old!. I also enjoyed no romance between vamp and Elena!, but alot of my attention was on Damon turning that girl into a Vamp, that was so interesting and when he snapped her neck! |

I agree Nico. And Damon is a hot dancer. At first I thought she was a vampire after she drank his blood, because of how they do it on Buffy, but it was a nice twist. And now we've got another vampire! |

Yeah, I thought the same, for the same reason. I liked that the transformation takes longer, she was still human and craving blood and she knew it, that was really freaky and ofcourse they suck each others blood and then she had to die (just not right after losing alot of blood like on Buffy) and then drink human blood. I said to Steven that Elena has to get her friend with the witch powers to do an uninviting spell on the house so Damon can't come in . I also wondered since it was Elena's family who had the watch perhaps her family were witch hunters? |

I would imagine they are related, it can't just be a coincidence. I am surprised Elena didn't tell her friend about Stefan, we already seen her set a car ablaze with her mind and put it out. I wonder what the significance of the 3 of them together is (Stefan Vampire, Elena Katherine's double and her friend the witch |

VD got picked up for the rest of the season so at least we'll get a full season. I think it has enough viewers to make it to a season 2. |

Just watched episode 7. To add to the VD/Twilight comparisons, does it seem like Bella is so much more damned gullible than Elena. Bella would believe anything that the Cullens told her and blindly go along with it, whereas Elena didn't put up with Damon and Stefan's crap.

That's exactly what I like about the show Bec, I enjoy the dynamic of love between Human & Vampire but Twilight just seemed so ridiculous and made Vampires seem Fluffy. I haven't seen the latest episode yet but I love that more Vamps are appearing !. I loved the staking(sp?)! |
