Tell me Irene, how nervous were those last 3 minutes! (well 6! ) I was nervous and it wasnt even my team! . What a goal from Scholes though, cant ask for a better one to take you to the Final!. Barcelona just couldn't hold onto the ball, they got a couple of shots but they just couldn't get threw the united defence. I wish someone would've given Messi a good knock, when My team played Barcelona, it ended 0-0 and Messi said its because Rangers play 'Anti Football' and 'over-Tackle' .

I was a nervous wreck during the final minutes. I was biting my nails, rocking in my chair and just muttering "Blow the whistle. blow the whistle, blow the whistle". I looked like a mad woman! We are facing Chelsea in the final. Quite disappointed really. I know I said I would rather face Chelsea than Liverpool but during the game, I decided I wanted to face Liverpool instead. But I think it's fitting to face Chelsea as they have been our main rivals throughout the season. Plus, it would be nice to take two titles (the league and Champions League) away from them. ;D They don't have Stamford Bridge to protect them so I really can see us beating the Blues. Good luck to the Rangers tomorrow! We need more British teams in European Finals! ;D

Absolutely Irene! Away from Stamford bridge and Chelsea are useless, unlike united who have much more experience in playing in such huge games! I hope we just lay it all out and go for it, this will not be the time to play it safe and we are so much better as a team going forward.
Tuesdays sucess was nicly rounded off on wednesday when one of the girls teams I coach won a tournament and got through to the schools finals, then Barrow won 2-0 in the 1st leg of the semi-final play offs for promotion! I swear I've never sung so loud and bounced around so much at a footy match!

I wonder if it's a sign. When is the finals for you? It's a week before the Champions League final right?

Ooo that would be a great game to watch! ;D The Champions League final is on the 21st of May. So yup, a week after the UEFA Cup final. United won the West Ham game and if Chelsea loses their game against Newcastle, we'll be champions. I hope our former players like Butt and Smith can do us a favour! ;D

I saw the Man United score on the text, by the looks of the scoreline seemed easy enough for them, Highlights arent on until tonight though!

It was a easy match, which was surprising as I thought it was be a nervy one. Plus we were one man down for the whole of the second half (stupid Nani! ). Tomorrow we'll know whether we are champions or not. I saw the news today and Rangers drew their match. That's not good is it? Though they still have a few games in hand...

Yeh its gonna be hard for Rangers to make the quadruple, some things got to give.
I'll be cheering on Newcastle tonight! A win or a draw would see united crowned champions. Plus yesturday Barrow won 2-0 in the second semi final and are through to the play off finals on friday, Blue Square Premier here we come!!! I can't wait for the match now its gonna be an awsome crowd down there

We could always afford to lose one game but we definetly didnt want to drop points to Hibs!, I knew it would be a tough game though, they are fighting for 3rd place which means a spot in the uefa cup!. We already Have won one cup, the Quad looks pretty far off right now!. The Newcastle game should be a good one!, I dont prefer either team so it will be nice to have a game I can just enjoy end to end football

Chelsea won. But that's alright. Champagne will be popped on Sunday for us. ;D I didn't know the Rangers are chasing a Quad. It's a huge task to do that!

2-0 to Chelsea.
I didn't see the match but I caught the score on the news. Apparently, they didn't exactly play well in the first half, Newcaslte was a better side with a host of chances. It was only in the second half that Chelsea came back into the game.
Oh well.

Nothing worse than playing better football than the other team and they hit you on they break.
Well, my team has asked for our season to be extended, we have a cup game on Sunday then our Uefa cup final on Wednesday. There has been alot of fuss from Celtic (who had a game rescheduled for there Uefa cup final against Porto last year!) .
We have 7 games to play in 14 days, for a Scottish club, our table is about half the size of the Premiership, we are far from used to playing a hectic schedule like that, to make it worse, Zenit St Petersburg (our Cup Final opponents) have had 3 games rearranged!.
and our First choice Goalkeeper is still out!.

7 games in 14? That's ridiculous!
I've always wondered why all the leagues in Europe don't follow the same schedule. Not exactly the same but at least similar to each other so there won't be fixtures pile up like this. :-\ I mean, don't the Spanish, Italian and English league start and finish almost the same time? Why can't the others follow?

Yeah I feel the same, It is silly that Zenits league has only just started, football is never going to be 100% fair or equal, but the league thing seems like a simple idea, and very obvious way of satisfying alot of clubs. What do you think about the idea of having fouls etc; shown on a large tv during gameplay for the referee? like Rugby. I think for big decisions like Penelties, they may come usefull but for fouls outside of the box, they would just waste time. My brother is always talking about multiball , that would be so much fun haha.

My brother is always talking about multiball , that would be so much fun haha. I don't think TV replays for fouls is necessary but it might be useful for seeing whether a player is offside or not. There are a lot of games lost and won because of the offside rule and I think that referee using TV replays for offsides would make the game a lot more fair - and decrease the number of managers ranting and raving about whether a certain goal was offside or not. I don't think it should be done for fouls and such as I think referees would rely too much on TV replays. If that happens, we don't need a referee at all. But they should have it for offsides and maybe even to see if the ball crossed the goal line or if a player uses his hands in the penalty box.
