I haven't watched past the 1st episode. I'm not fussed about it.

I realised that the case-of-the-week isn't very interesting as the story of the Dollhouse. I wished the eps would focus on that instead. Watched ep 3 this afternoon and I really couldn't be bothered with the whole singer storyline. What kept me interested was the little hints that was dropped about the Dollhouse. What is the attic? The Russian guy being a doll? Sooo did not see that coming! Definitey makes the investigation Ballard is in very interesting. That shake of the Echo gives Sierra? What was that about? I will probably keep watching just to get answers to those questions!

Yeah, if you watch the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes you have a great show right there , shame the rest isn't as exciting.

I know! I read that ep 6 is a Joss written ep, meaning an episode FOX didn't mess with. We might get a good idea of what Joss had in mind while watching that ep.

Well I saw tonight's episode and it wasn't to bad, a few scenes I could tell were purely Joss scenes which is always a good thing. We got to see more of the Dollhouse history. The lines were still kinda strange but a couple of witty lines that had me giggling.
Well I saw an interview with Eliza Dushku that said:
"Whedon's voice comes through more clearly at that point. The first 5 were standalone episodes for casual viewers. Starting at episode 6 story will unfold in a more serialized fashion, allowing for the deep characterization and in jokes that Whedon fans love so much. "

I wonder if she took a peak at this thread and saw how critical we were of the "anti-Jossness" of the show and made her comment based on that lol

I was just wondering about that. I think a lot of Joss fans out there are pretty disappointed at the lack of Jossness in the show. Can't wait to watch that ep though.

I was thinking how strange it was we would be saying the show isn't what we would expect from a Joss Show and suddenly the interview is released hehe.
looking forward to mid season episodes now.

Its actually not that bad a show now, have you seen any recent episodes Irene? Next weeks looks like it could be really good but I am not sure about them finding out the truth then getting wiped again , over and over, last weeks was funny

I'm up till ep 4 at the moment. I'll probably be watching ep 5 this week (if I have the time).
Was the Joss ep (ep 6) as good as we hope it would be, Nico?

Episode 6 was definetly a stand out episode, although I thought it was a bit to heavy to have mid first season (the subject matter I mean) , a couple of nice twists though, especially the ending. Episode 7 reminded me of Joss, Tabula Rasa type writing nice and light.
I would be interested to know what you think of Episode 6 Irene.

Yeah. I really want to know why Caroline wanted to be an Active in the first place. It's not something I would do in my opinion. Especially when you can't remember the awesome stuff that you do.

Caught the trailer. Looks really good! Nice to see Victor being something else besides being that Russian (?) snitch.

Wait. I must have missed a scene or episode or something, although I thought I'd watched the most recent one (the one in the college science lab). Caroline wanted to be an active?
