After reading the second book, I don't think the guy playing Peeta is right as well. Isn't Peeta blond?! Liam Hemsworth should be playing Peeta I think, instead of Gale. And Woody Harrelson as Haymitch?! Whaaaa?
I think the only casting that's pretty right is Donald Sutherland as President Snow.

Well, they can dye his hair But yeah. Not exactly what I had in mind, either. Snow is good though.

I can't picture him blond. I always pictured Peeta as a strong, manly person instead of a child.

Really? I always pictured Gale as strong and Manly and Peeta as the pretty boy. They are the only 2 castings I actually think are pretty spot on (atleast in my mind). Oh I like DS as President Snow.
I like Prim's casting but I don't like Clove's. Wasn't she supposed to be strong? Physically menacing? Isabelle Fuhrman looks like a cuddle bunny.

Pretty boy yes but not as young looking at that actor. I think Peeta is definitely more strong and manly than the actor. Compared to Gale, of course not.

Isabelle Fuhrman was sooo creepy in Orphan.

So I'm halfway through Mockingjay and I'm starting to dislike Gale. Something about him isn't right. He seems very fishy.

Had to get a new copy of Mockingjay, still waiting!

Why, Nico? I thought you started on it already.

I started it (I got it from the library) and some ignorant moron had ripped out a whole bunch of pages so instead of missing a whole lot of story decided just to buy it.

FINISHED IT!! What an ending. Didn't expect President Coin to die like that. I had a feeling she would be killed by Katniss but not in front of everyone like that. And Prim died!!!! Why?!?! Not that I was a huge fan of her or anything but it was so unexpected and so sad. Teared up when Katniss broke down in her home when that cat came looking for Prim. I guess I was right about my thoughts of Gale. I didn't like him much in this book. Where did the cool Gale character go?! Nice ending with Katniss and Peeta being together and starting a family. But it was still so sad though, knowing that Katniss (and I guess Peeta as well) never really got over the whole ordeal. Overall, I loved these books. Definitely lived up to my expectations and more. Already got my friend from work to read it. ;D

Just finished this morning. I swear this book brought a tear to my eye. The only time before that I felt teary was when Rue died but this book was so cleverly written.
The whole description of Prim's death was horrible but I don't know how Katniss didn't know immediately that it was an attack by the rebels, why it took Snow telling her that for her to see it I knew right away, why would snow kill kids whom he was using as a shield.
I didn't like Gale much either but I don't think he deserved alot of the gripe, he had to endure alot and he had been wanting the war a long time before it started so he had it in his veins and it came from a place of Anger. No surprise she ended up with Peeta though, the thought that it was Gale's bomb design that killed Prim, that was hard for me to hear!
I was sad with Finnicks death to and it made it worse when I read the line about Anna & finnicks Newborn child. Lived up to my expectations but my favourite was still the first book. Now I need to find something else as good!

Yay! I'm so pleased you both enjoyed them! I can't wait to see the movie.

Can't wait either. I am sure the movie won't be as good as the books but considering the movie has to add in additional dialogue and cut a lot out I wouldn't expect anything other than that. I just hope what they add in works with the storyline!

Any reason why Irene? www.thehungergames.co.uk/gameI played the top game and it told me I got 86% so I fail the games. The rest of you should try it so I could see who wins and probably killed me off

'Cause I know for sure they'll ruin it. Look at the casting!

I don't mind so much if the movie is bad it won't ruin the books for me. I do think it may have made a really good tv show though, more episodes = more time = better story writing I am sure.

That's true. A TV show would have been better as well. I'll still watch the movie as I want to see how some stuff play out on screen but I'm not expecting another LotR.
