Eh I always got the impression Katniss was meant to be pretty or at least very charismatic.

I watched the ENTIRE MTV crappy awards for the sneak peek and it was ridiculous. Her running threw the woods shooting a CGI mockingjay pin, eh no thanks. It wasn't a trailer, thankfully just a sneek peek at a scene they filmed. Ruffle her face in the dirt a bit and she will be okay it's the male leads I have a problem with, I think they should switch characters!

What a let down! I hated that I had to sit through 2hrs of crap just for that "sneak peek". I wouldn't call it that too!

I finally finished the 3rd book. I put it down ages ago about 4 chapters in and forgot to finish it Weak finish imo. I liked the character developments but I wasn't overly keen on this book. Felt rushed in some places, and dragged out in other places.

Yeah, I think the third was the weakest one. A lot of stuff, towards the end was weird. Why kill the sister of? Why was she even there?! I had to go back to reread some pages to see if I missed something. There was no mention as to why the sister was there. And children guarding the buildings? Dumb. Gale leaving like that without a proper ending for him and Katniss. Weak writing. I don't know how they are going to split the book into two movies.

That was covered Irene, rebel medics were sent in to help the children hurt form the initial bomb blast. Katniss has a paragraph where she's trying to work out why Prim at only 13 would have been sent with them and realises it was to have her killed and unhinge Katniss more. Its when she realises Snow was telling the truth about it being Coin behind that bomb. Children guarding the building was dumb yeah, but not out of the realm of possibility for Snow - it was so HE wasn't bombed.
Gale leaving like that was stupid. So was her mother, you'd think she'd want to cling to her daughter and any friends left in District 12. I understand Gale leaving but there was NO closure between them.
I'd hope by splitting the book in two they'd flesh some of it out and probably show some of what was going on in the capital that was heard about later - like the tortures, what Peeta and Johanna went through etc.

Oh was it? I must have missed that. My friend and I were talking about it a few weeks ago and we both were wondering why the sister was her in the first place.

I thought Children guarding it was perfectly viable option. Like Beck said they weren't there to guard they were there to stop people hurting snow a human shield, it was supposed to show us what a barbarian he really is or add to that impression.
I remember it being mentioned to Kat that she was Coins only opposition for president, even if she didn't want it the people would want her, so no surprise Prim was sent in. That scene was so sad and so sudden!
Agree with everything else about the 3rd being weakest but I still liked it but why oh why must Finnick die!

Oh I hated that Finnick died! I liked him. And then to learn Anna was pregnant...so sad. I'm surprise she didn't kill herself after his death, seeing how she was so unstable.

Finnick was one of my favourite characters !
I heard they already finished filing. How long does a movie usually take?

Not sure. 9 months? That seems to ring a bell. Depends on what kind of movie it is. Something like this might take longer with all the effects and stuff.

Oh I think they have been filming for a while now - or not, we wouldn't have that 'sneak preview' shown at the VMAs.

Annie probably would have had she not been pregnant. I hope the movie gives them a more fleshed out ending. Shows a final scene with Gale and Katniss.

I think we can put our bets on the Movie ending to the series being more emotional & dramatic than the books. The book ending left out so much for the readers we should have been given the Kat/Gale scene .
