I don't think all love is corny. I think the dialogue between Buffy and Angel is corny.

There are countless lines. All of Amends. Them breaking up in the Prom. There are some great ones in Lie To Me I think it is. The cookie dough speech. The sewer speech in I Will Remember You. In earshot when he tells her he loved her when he first saw her. And thats without watching it in a long time!

Well using Shaun's examples, I went and found the actual quotes.
From Amends: Buffy: (tearfully) What about me? I love you so much... And I tried to make you go away... I killed you and it didn't help.
Buffy: And I hate it! I hate that it's *so* hard... and that you can hurt me *so* much. I know everything that you did, because you did it to me. Oh, God! I wish that I wished you dead. I don't. I can't.
I don't think I need to quote the cookie dough speech... we all know how that goes surely!
I Will Remember You: Angel: "No. I-It is confusing. And I.. When we're apart - it's easier. It hurts - every day. But I live with it. And now you're - you're right here - and I can actually reach out.. and - it's more then confusing - it's unbearable." Buffy inches closer to him: "But we have to bear, right? I mean, what else can we do? It doesn't work with us. It can't." Angel: "No, I-I can't give you a life, or a future or anything a real girl would want." Buffy: "No matter how much we miss each other." Angel: "Or what we feel in the moment." Buffy: "If we let something happen here - we'd want more. - And nothing's changed. We'd only end up having to leave each other again." Angel: "And that's the best case scenario."
There are other quotes in some of those eps, but those are the best ones. But you missed the best one Shaun! In Reptile Boy:
Buffy: When you kiss me I want to die!
And somewhere can't remember where is this one:
Angel:I love you Buffy:I love you Angel: Nothing can change that. Not even death.
As Kelly said, Bah. I refuse to mock the Prom speeches though. Thats one Bangel heavy episode I adore.

Ok I'll admit that one made me cringe, but the others are just great. Especially Helpless when he say he loved her the minute he saw her because he could see her heart- that was sweet + senitmental (unless you take the words literally)

I agree with Tash, I admit that the one from Reptile Boy was pretty corny, and I didn't really get it. But the other ones that Beck posted were just fine to me.

Not all young love is corny. I was in an intense loving relationship at 16 and it was in no way corny or blown up into huge proportions. The excuse that she was young and thats why it was corny is crap. It was corny because the writers made it corny. They turned what could have been a good relationship into something very hard to take seriously.

But there was a whole metaphor to it that if you have your first time with a guy you think you truly love, he usually turns into a jackass!

OK I know we have a few Bangel fans and some strong anti-Bangel people on here, so I pose a question to both sides: Chosen, right or wrong to have Angel there?
Personally I hate it. Both the Ats and BtVS storylines were completely ignored. Hello, Angel just lost his son and his best friend Cordelia who he loves (gag) is in a coma - and he's suddenly no longer caring cause he's in sunnydale? BAH! And the cookie dough speech is gag inducing. I do like the references to Spike and the "what are you, 12?" line but mostly it was out of character for both Buffy and Angel to go back to that. Unnecessary imo.

Yeah I don't think it was necessary either, but it was the series finale, so it was kind of special (to me anyway), and without Angel there, Spike wouldn't have had Angel's head on the punching bag lol.
