Re SGA 6: I really think this is one of my favourite episodes ever.
All the scenes of Rodney losing his mind were heartbreaking, and right from the teaser, I suddenly knew what a brilliant actor David Hewlett is. I always thought he was talented, but he blew me away.
The scene with McKay and Sheppard drinking their beers was great - it was funny, and really showed how close they've become. Really, the episode showcased how well the characters work with each other (ironically, the staff of SGA always cited the character relationships as one of the show's weaknesses - I hope that's not one of the reasons it's been canceled, because the episode showed just how brilliant they are together.
I loved the stuff with McKay and Keller. His love for her has been confirmed, and given her reaction, I'd say it definitely works both ways. One thing I thought was interesting was Keller's reaction - very similar to McKay's for her in "The Last Man" - she won't give up trying to help him, even when it's hopeless. And the trailer for "Whispers" looks awesome. Re the races teaming up in SGU, I knew there was the alliance of the four, and I knew that humans were on their way to be the fifth, but I didn't know whether that had been resolved (especially given how far the Asgard alliance goes). And there have been rumours that SGU is set in the future, which also made me think of that. And I'm looking forward to that SG-1 episode where they go back and see what happened with the Ancients. I've now seen up to "Prodigy" in SG-1, and am really enjoying season four. I watched "2010" recently, and that was fantastic.

I watched Ark of Truth last night, and have now finally finished all 10 seasons. Spoilers ahoy! Loved that they brought the replicators back into it! Haha and that guy being controlled by one... CREEPY! The whole Ark thing was a little.... convenient? I liked Morgan Le Fay finally getting off her butt to help, and the Prior dying at the start was cool. So was Teal'C still with the grey streaks in his hair But it ended a little too nicely imo. Oh well. Felt very much like a long episode, thought it should have been the finale to SG1 season 10 instead of a movie. Meh. Now to watch Continuum

Beck Ascended beings were annoying because they would just float around on the moral high ground , I always remember watching the episode Daniel goes to the Ascended Diner and thinking "wow, the Ascended beings are quite boring . I will have to rewatch Ark of truth to remember it properly but is that the one they killed Adria? seemed like the Ori were ended very abruptly, I was a little miffed as to the idea of the ark being opened and suddenly all the priests see there wrong doings I was kind of hoping for some sort of battle where the Ori get shunted into some sort of black hole or something Cant wait to hear what you think of Continuum compared to Ark of Truth Beck. Allan have you seen some of the stars returning to SGA? my Favourite has to be Koliya! that bastage was one of my favourite villains. Another big spoiler Todd steals the Daedalus, I guess he wont be getting that SGA team spot now

Nico: Todd steals the Daedalus? That will have to be amusing. But maybe he's doing it for the right reasons? I can always hope. And Kolya coming back is great. I'm sad to see that it's the last season, but I'm so pleased that it looks like it'll be going out with a bang!

I'm sad to see that it's the last season, but I'm so pleased that it looks like it'll be going out with a bang! I think this is going to turn out to be my favourite Atlantis season, except for one or two early episodes that were weak the storylines look awesome, I also read about Michaels return! Question Allan, the SGA movies, what storylines do you think will be sorted out prior to/in the movies? . Lt. Ford's storyline?, I know the wraith Hive he was in blew up but its Sci-fi, thats means sweet F-all.
Michael- I think he may be dealt with prior to the movies but how, hmmm.
McKay & Keller- will they hook up? seems inevitable and personally I am happy with only the confirmation they gave in the last episode!.
Anything else you can think of? I doubt the Wraith will be ended, Todd will be in atleast one of the movies, surely? I want the Wraith to live on![/spoiler

No new SGA this week. I was really looking forward to watching it tonight. Worse still, it's "Whispers" that I'm waiting for. Nico The season started out weakly. Part of that was, I think, due to the crappy cliffhanger that was left at the end of season four, but it did take a little while to find its footing. So far, it's been great.
I see that TV.com has a score of 9.37 for "The Shrine", which pleases me. It sums up the direction of the season for me.
And Michael's return will hopefully be great. As will Kolya's.
And how cool would it be to see Michael and Todd face off against each other? To answer your question: I don't know if Ford's story will be wrapped up this season, but I would be surprised if they didn't do anything with it. His cameo in the season's opening seemed - to me - like foreshadowing about something. As cool as Michael is, he's just one guy, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets killed off during this season. Or he may survive to torment the SGA crew in a movie. Which would be cool. I think McKay and Keller will be pretty much left alone during the season, since we had the confirmation that they love each other. I would like to see them actually get together in a movie, though. I also want them to play with Ronon's attraction to her - we know she loves McKay, but I think it'd be great to have Ronon love her, but not get her because of McKay. I really hope we see more Todd in a movie, as well as the Genaii (particularly Kolya). I'd also love to see them reveal a ton about the Ancients in the movies (which I want a lot of ). Also, I'd like the SGA movies to just be branded "Stargate", a la the SG-1 ones. And once they've wrapped up the core storyline like they did with SG-1, I would love to see them cross over a bit in movies. I could see a big movie where Atlantis comes under attack and SG-1 head in to save them or something. Beck, Continuum is brilliant. ;D I still haven't finished SGA season four, but it was the most fun Stargate story I've seen - SG-1 or SGA.

Continuum feels more like a movie to, which is great!. This is the second time they have done that Allan, skipped a week! I hope it doesn't become a habit, one episode a fortnight grrr. Michael and Todd are my favourite Wraith, I think both are brilliant and to see them face off against each other will be brilliant, I dont think they have ever met before. The Shring certainly deserves to stand out, it was brilliant and very sad. Ohh I wouldnt like them to play the script as Ronon falling in love with her, thats kind of rough on the poor guy . I think the Genii will be back, they are as close to Earth ways that we have seen on Atlantis, regarding the military side how funny is it that every time we see them they always ask for C4 It would definetly be a good idea to only have the stargate brading on the movie, the good thing out of all the bad is now the movie doesnt have to tie into Atlantis tv show, because Atlantis is cancelled they could have SG1-Atlantis crossovers without having to explain anything on either shows, if you get my drift. I also heard JM mention they would like to be producing 3 movies a year, so the cast would still be working just as hard, and it will be great to still add to my collection. Stargate Universe isn't looking to interesting to me, a bunch of people from Earth explore an ancient warship and find out they cant return home and meet lots of new people, eh... isnt that star trek? I HATE StarTrek! The interesting thing will be who is cast... it was the cast of both SG1 and SGA that made them so enjoyable, even the people who werent in the 'main' team Ie; Beckett, Lorne, Beck. I was wondering are you interested in watching Atlantis now you have finished SG1? both me and Allan were Atlantis fans before SG1, but I believe Shaun watched SG1 first and then Atlantis. What about you?

Yeah, the skips in week have been annoying. I just checked the airdates for the rest of the season, and it looks like there are very few skips. The skip weeks are between episodes 10 & 11 and 13 & 14. I like that there are only two weeks between 10 and 11, rather than their usual long mid-season hiatus. Michael and Todd are great characters, and they should meet at some point. They're almost opposites in many ways, so they'd have an interesting dynamic. It would be rough on Ronon, though I'd like to see him end up with someone. I thought he would have been perfect with Teylah, but the writers figured the brother/sister type relationship between them worked better. Earth and the Genii are very similar, and they work well (for the most part) together. I also love their one track mind about getting their hands on C4. And I get your drift about SG-1/SGA crossing over in movies. I'd hate for it to be the only way they go, but I'd love the Stargate franchise be able to include various stories about various teams, crossing over where they need to. Three movies a year would be awesome - I'd love to see one SG-1, one SGA, and one crossover. That would be cool. SGU could be interesting. I'm not a Star Trek fan, but I'm sure if the characters work in a "Stargate" kind of way, it could be fun. And I do like the universe, so I would like to see it expanded. And it'd be cool if the expedition included familiar faces who never got a big role. Lorne would be great.

Teyla is for Sheppard once we get Kanaan out of the way I tell you! Lorne would be great, I would actually look forward to watching it if they brought some familiar faces in, but the fact it is completely seperate from the Stargate we know, I wonder how much it will relate to what we already know about the stargates and the universe. I have been trying to compare it to other shows, Take friends and the spinoff 'Joey' it was very much seperate as there was no reference to Joeys friends or life back in the 'friends' world, it felt like they were pretending it never happened and it did! I have alot of questions, what galaxy are they in? why cant they get home Ancient ships were capable of intergalactic travel using hyperspace, in stargate Universe there is/was a stargate/oripheus/jappaeye on almost every planet, they couldnt find one to go A-Home? B- To Atlantis? C-to atleast dial for a few seconds like we saw the Atlantis crew doing to contact earth!. I know I am jumping ahead, it may be brilliant, it may be better than both SG1 and SGA, or it may be crap.

Beck. I was wondering are you interested in watching Atlantis now you have finished SG1? both me and Allan were Atlantis fans before SG1, but I believe Shaun watched SG1 first and then Atlantis. What about you? We have Season 1 and started the first episode but we were both too tired, so didn't finish it. So far so good though, I like Sheppard so that was always going to be a deciding thing for me. Weir I am not so fond of but she might grow on me. And McKay is always funny. Wraith seem to be an interesting race... defeated the Ancients, ouch. Shaun did you like Atlantis after watching SG-1 first??

Re Weir, she grew on me over the series, but she was never a favourite character of mine. In comparison to the others, she can be quite boring. I never thought Sheppard and Teyla were a great match, to be honest. But they really played with them liking each other, and I'd like to see them pursue it just for that reason. Yeah, I heard that SGU would be completely unrelated to the "known" universe, and I'm hoping it doesn't deviate too far from what we know. And it could possibly be them stranded on the Ancient ship, find a planet with a Stargate, and try to find their way home. We know that it's difficult to get them working when it comes to different galaxies, so it could be a possibility. I'd like to see Stargates featured in a show with the title "Stargate". The show could be crap, or it could be cool. I guess time will tell with it. And they may start it as completely unrelated, and bring in more familiar elements as the series progresses. And I finally got through SGA season four on Sunday night. It was quite an enjoyable final couple of episodes.

Re SGA 5.07: Cool episode. I thought the body count was a little low for something that's meant to be a horror story, but that aside, it was creepily done. The Wraith hybrids of Michael's were pretty freaky, and I hope we get to see more of Michael building his army this season (hopefully it'll be the main focus).
Carson and Alison were cute. It was a little disappointing that she didn't get any scenes with Rodney, though, given David Hewlett and Nicole de Boer having worked together on Cube, though. Re the ad for SGA 5.08: It looks interesting. The idea of Teyla becoming a Wraith queen has potential. With any luck, she will have something interesting to do this season! I read this interview with Andy Mikita about the final season of SGA. I really hope that the season 5 DVD includes a director's cut for "The Shrine" (since it's one of my favourite episodes), and found this bit about the episode interesting: And I also found a petition to save SGA. At this point, it has over 14,000 signatures! And I'm through the first five episodes of SG-1 season five. So far I've particularly liked "Threshold", telling Teal'c's story, and "Red Sky" because I'm a sucker for anything with the Asgard.

I actually feel the opposite, I feel that alot of last season showed us Michaels army building skills, and although I hope we see more of his abandoned experiments I dont want them to focus on him to much. I enjoyed the episode though, it certainly was clear to see that is was supposed to be a horror episode, and I like that the bad guys werent impossible to kill, they were quite easy. As for the body c**t didnt those things kill everyone in 2 villages? I keep getting it confused with an SG1 episode I saw recently. Also the scene the village guy was yanked threw the window by those 'things' after screaming at Carson was awesome! Carson and Alison were sweet, and they had some great chemistry Watching epsidoe 8 later today, I'm excited to, the episode sounds great and we are getting closer o see Daniel Jackson back on our screens! Your starting to get into the better episodes I love all the middle seasons! .

I'm sure you'll love McKay by the end of season one, Beck. I still haven't seen episode 8 Nico, but in regard to episode 7: The last season did show Michael's army building skills, but we didn't see him really use the army to strike at the Atlantis crew much. I'd like to see Michael really try and take control of the galaxy.
The episode was cool. And the body count was high in the regard that they took down two villages, but what I meant was that we didn't see them kill a whole ton of disposable characters.
I loved Carson and Alison. It'd be nice to see more of them together, but think it's something we'll miss out on without season six. Regarding SG-1, I'm enjoying season five. I've seen up to "The Tomb", and have pretty much enjoyed the whole season so far. I loved "Beast of Burden" with Chaka. The episode was quite poignant. EDIT: I've now seen SGA 5.08: Man, I love Todd! He seems to become more and more awesome with each episode. That aside, I enjoyed the episode for the most part, except that it felt a little anticlimactic at the end of it all. And for a regular cast member, we really aren't seeing much Woolsey. He wasn't in this episode. He's been in what, four of the eight? And next episode...apparently somebody dies. My guess is someone we rarely see. Any guesses?

I was let down a little at the end, it all kind of stopped abruptly. About Woolsey, do you remember how much we saw of Weir? I was trying to figure out if it is normal to see so little of the leader, I know we saw little of Sam but looking at upcoming episodes looks like we will see alot more of him. How sneaky is Todd, he always says he wants to help the team and ends up betraying them to benefit himself, but saying it will help them to This person who is going to die, is it an Atlantis team member? looks like the guest star is Mike Dopud who starred in SG1, maybe he will die !

Weir was in just about all (if not every one) episodes, I think. We didn't see enough of Sam, but I thought we saw more of her than we did of Woolsey. Todd is very sneaky, but I genuinely believe he thinks about things that are fair to SGA too. But he has the nasty Wraith habit of not being entirely honest, and he does think of his needs first. As for the person who dies, I have no idea. The ad for the next episode just said that someone will die. And I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to Kolya's return any more. I was reading an article about Robert Davi, and he's a staunch Republican and big Sarah Palin supporter.

Wow, that totally fits in with his on screen character . Todd is great, whoever came up with the idea to add him in is clearly a genious!, I was looking over the episodes trying to see whos 'style' I preferred most, and noticed that Joseph Mallozzis episodes dont rate as highly as some of the others, of course that isnt the case all of the time but I had really not noticed it before.

I think my favourite writers are Martin Gero and Robert C Cooper, personally. But it's hard to pick my favourites a lot of the time.
And Todd is great. I think he was only meant to appear a couple of times - the first episode with some foreshadowing for a potential latter appearance, but I think he just developed into such a great character that they had to keep bringing him back. He's definitely my favourite recurring character at the moment (aside from Carson).
