Yeah I agree the way they treated Michael, they gave him EVERY reason to turn on them, I just love Michael though . I cant wait for the 3rd Stargate movie to come out! I wonder what the storyline would be, they have allready covered the big bad, time travel so what next!?, I miss Sam and I to am hoping they finally hook up!. Also cant wait for the Atlantis movie, I am sure the Wraith will play a huge role in that!. I'm not to impressed with the SGU concept art yet, Especially the control room i'm hoping they change it up a little, take a couple chairs out and its the control room of the Ori ships from SG1. SGA Episode 13 I enjoyed the storyline, I have seen it happen to Tealc on SG1 (you seen that episode yet Allan?) and watching this episode I took everything so personally , how dare they do this to the SGA team who yes, did awaken the Wraith but also dwindled there numbers Significantly and beat the Replicators, but they should have to answer for there crimes, atleast show they recognise they are partially to blame, indirectly or not. Woolsey back to what he does best!.
I didnt mind the clip show (although would have preferred for none at all this season!), Every season of SG1 and SGA have had a clipshow on the last episode or second last episode, I for one would rather it was episode 13, that means we get two full episodes at the end of the season.

I love Michael too, though Todd has to be my favourite Wraith, though. But I keep thinking a sitcom where they move into an apartment together on a wacky alien planet and have to live with each other - a la The Odd Couple - would be amusing. Maybe I should be put in charge of the Stargate franchise (and if we really need one set on a spaceship, do Stargate: Daedalus). The third Stargate movie will be interesting. Did the first one wrap everything up? If so, I'm guessing the third will be another fun adventure like Continuum. I didn't mind the concept art, but then again, I haven't come across the Ori yet. And since they're after a name actor for the new leader, I would love to see Nathan Fillion get the role - especially if the character will be kind of a smart arse like O'Neill and Sheppard. The episode where it happened to Teal'c was a fairly early one, wasn't it? At least he was more willing to accept his fate then Sheppard! I took it personally too, because I love the characters. But I was really pleased to see everything they're responsible for be addressed, because there were a couple of instances where their actions lead to quite a few deaths, and the ramifications were never addressed. Not every season has a clipshow does it? I'm pretty sure I haven't seen one in every season of SG-1, and I thought Atlantis only had one in the first episode (and I'm never going to be able to look at "Letters from Pegasus" the same way again, after seeing David Nykl reenact his recording live on stage, with Paul McGillion standing next to him reenacting Atlantis rising - hilarious stuff! ). I would definitely prefer a clip show earlier in the season so the final episodes aren't interrupted (and, admittedly, when the framing device for the clips is as cool as Stargate usually does, it's not too concerning), but I kind of feel like I've been cheated out of an episode. So, who are everyone's favourite characters in SG-1 and SGA?

Todd would kick Michaels arse! I would like to see them fight it out . I always love Todd/Shappard scenes, for some crazy reason he always asks for Sheppard and expects him to help . Yeah the first one did , not to well in my opinion but I guess they ran out of ideas . I would love to see Nathan Fillion get that role, I would watch it purely for him. I cant remember , I dont like clip show episodes so its possible I have been skipping some thinking that they are clip shows when they arent, I would have to look back over them.
I think its also a matter of the budget, looks at the special effects used on this season already, the entire episode looked low budget because it was , I remember listening to commentary and they said most of there budget is spent in the first half of the season I am expecting and Explosive finale so if this episode saved them a couple 100 thousand or more its worth it. Have you seen the shots for the last episode of season 5 Allan? theres about 9 shots that were released/leaked whatever and I found them quite interesting, they dont give much away thankfully because I didnt find the pictures on purpose . SG1- Vala (used to annoy the bejesus out of me!) SGA- Lorne & Carson

I think Michael would definitely be the more conniving of the two, but I still think Todd would have a few tricks up his sleeve. He'd definitely be the more amusing of the two too. And as you mentioned about how he always expects Sheppard to help him, I can imagine him calling Sheppard to bail him out as Todd's about ready for the kill. It's a shame that The Ark of Truth wasn't satisfying, Nico. I was thinking about the third movie, and you and Beck both mentioned that we never see the Furlings. Maybe it should be about them (ironically, I think they should be bald, with no fur whatsoever ). I'm pretty sure clip shows are a money saving measure. While they do piss me off, if they make the "big" episodes worth it, it's cool in the long run. I haven't seen those shots, but figure I should probably check for them. And you really are a Lorne fan, aren't you? How much did his appearance add to the latest SGA episode for you?

So I was watching the season six finale ("Full Circle") tonight, and was wondering if anyone's watched the commentary, or can recall if the creators admitted to aping Star Wars at all. We have Daniel Jackson in his robes against Anubis, in a showdown that looks incredibly similar to Obi-Wan Kenobi vs Darth Vader, and Abydos gets destroyed by Anubis's a la Alderaan by the Death Star.

I love those Atlantis episodes where we see alot of Lorne, I think Sheppard is great to though I love his episodes even better when they are both together.
I absolutely HATE that scene, I have heard the commentary but cant remember if they mentioned the Star wars connection, although they did point out that they were very unhappy with that scene , they said it looked like Anubis 'whooshed' Daniel away, but infact he didnt, Anubis was cowering from Daniel .
The future episode pictures are quite neat, a few shots there that I have been waiting for all season!.

I didn't mind that scene, and got that Daniel was being pulled away, rather than it having anything to do with Anubis. I watched "Fallen" and "Homecoming" tonight, and noticed that in "Fallen" they basically ripped off the X-Wing flight to take down the Death Star from Jedi, too! I was bitterly disappointed that we didn't get a Star Wars rip-off in "Homecoming" since it was part 3. Where are the pics of the future episodes? Gateworld, or somewhere else?

Favourites hmm. SGA - Carson, Sheppard and McKay. In that order. The girls of SGA I am fairly meh towards to be honest. SG-1 - Jack. But I love all the others too

Re the girls, you haven't met Dr Keller yet, have you Beck? Agreed with the other girls, though - Teyla had potential, but was pretty much squandered.

I agree the SGA females arent all that great, also agree about Teyla they kind of ruined all of her potential I kind of miss season 1/2 Teyla epsecially in season 5. If it wasnt for Jewel Staite I think the writers would have a big problem on there hands. Allan the link to the photos www.gateworld.net/gallery/index.php?cat=50 be warned that they have promo photos for every coming episode. Spoiler photo for Enemy at the gate Awwwwwww . I thought that is just lovely, nice to see both Keller and Rodney happy.

Yeah, I think the writers would have a problem on their hands if it wasn't for Jewel's introduction. (Thoughts in spoiler tags for Beck's consideration). Weir was never particularly interesting, and Torri Higginson leaving didn't help matters. Teyla became more and more boring, especially because of Rachel Luttrel's pregnancy. Sam joining the show was great, and then she had to be written out because of Amanda Tapping's new show. While in some cases they're not the greatest characters, I think the writers and producers have been stuffed around a bit and things were a little out of their control.[/spoiler] Thanks for the link Nico. I can see the thumbnails, but the full size versions aren't loading at the moment, though. I've bookmrked them. And re the photo you posted: That is great. It's nice to see that they do get together by the end of the series. EDIT - No SGA this week! At least it should be the last break, and we get the rest of the season on a weekly basis.

I finished season 7 of SG-1 tonight and thought the season was great, despite there being two clip shows!
"Lost City" was by far the best finale in a while, especially after seasons five and six's were so anticlimactic. It's also cool to see them so close to discovering Atlantis (and thank god they replaced the actress playing Weir in SG-1 with Torri Higginson).
And I have to say that the "Heroes" episodes are probably my favourite SG-1 ones so far. Something a little different, that had real heart by the end of it.
And rather than casting a new Colonel in the show, why not give us Adam Baldwin as Colonel Dave Dixon from "Heroes"? All us Firefly fans know how awesome he is, and he was damn amusing in those episodes. Besides, a Colonel stranded in space, away from his wife four kids would give us something to feel sorry for him about.

I don't like Weir much. She's bland imo. Teyla is ok, but no where near as interesting as the other members of Sheppards team or SG-1.

Weir is very bland, sadly. Where are you up to now, Beck?
And I remember you telling me that a couple of the season 9 episodes got jumbled on the DVD. Which ones were they again?

Okay well two weeks have come and gone and brought 2 episodes with them!. Last weeks episode Was kind of dissapointed, I didnt like that the entire thing turned out to be fake, How many times have we seen this storyline!, I was shocked when Sheppard lost his hand and figured it could be easily reattached he would be fine. Even Koyla was fake, aww man I was hugely dissapointed. The week before I didnt mind this episode, again not as good as I was expecting but damn Teylas baby is so adorable, it was nice to actually see them together and to see Michael again but is it just me or has Michael become a complete moron, he lost everything that made him such a great foe. I did however enjoy another great effect when the Event Horizon swallowed the back end of the puddle jumper, that was a simple, brilliant solution to there problem and we rarely ever see that!.

We've watched the first couple of season 3 and having a break from it atm. Dont want to run out of eps just yet Fair enough. I can lend you guys season four, though. I haven't seen this week's episode yet, but I did see an interesting comment about the episode, which makes for a pleasant spoiler: rodney and jennifer up a tree K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Re last week's episode: Kolya being fake disappointed me, especially after last week's episode - kind of got gypped twice with the "big" returns of an old enemy. But aside from that and the "oh shit" moment with Sheppard's hand being cut off being fake, I did enjoy it. It's stuff we've seen before, but I thought the episode made a nice point. And, it was good to finally have an Aussie on Atlantis, even if she was fake. It was another cool showcase for Woolsey, though. And re the week before: I didn't like it quite as much as the next episode. Telya's baby was cute, and it was nice to have them acknowledge she's a mother and not make her annoying in the process, which was cool. I didn't think Michael was a moron, but he was definitely underwhelming. It's funny you should mention the event horizon, Nico. I was hoping for that the entire episode when I saw it's placement. I kept thinking that if they'd just use the Stargate to destroy the Puddle Jumper, the problem would be solved! I'm about a quarter of the way through season 9 of SG-1 now. So far I'm enjoying it; the Ori are a cool threat, and it's nice to see what's happening with the Jaffa now that they're free. Season 8 was completely underwhelming, though. It had a couple of cool episodes here and there, but as a whole, the season just didn't click for me. And Gateworld has a couple of interesting articles about SGU:

So I finally saw this week's episode, and: If it didn't have Rodney and Jennifer's relationship as its heart, it would have been pretty crap. But it does get points for Bill Nye, the Science Guy's role (as himself). It had some decent moments throughout it, and some funny lines, but so close to the end of the series, "nothing" episodes kind of bug me. But Rodney and Jennifer finally going on their first date and hooking up was great. And they joined the mile high club! Aside from that, have you noticed the habit this season of telling stories with just a couple of the characters? It's an interesting way of doing things; I wonder what the reasoning is.
