Loved Cake. Disappointed Aniston didn't get much recognition for that role.
American Sniper was ok. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would as I'm not a war movie person. It did remind me a lot of Hurtlocker though.
Geez Theory of Everything was good. ER was incredible. Thoroughly deserved his Oscar.

Paddington - Utterly charming. Perfume: The Story of a Murderer - Intriguing. Enemy - Good, but not great. They Came Together - Absolutely loved it. I am a big fan of Wet Hot American Summer, and this was just as good. Mysterious Skin - Unsettling, but well done. Jupiter Ascending -Terrible. The Basketball Diaries - Bre, Leo is such a babe in this! Still Alice - Heartbreaking. Extremely well acted by the entire cast. The Craft - Thought of you while watching this, Loz!

Why? I agree on Paddington. I bloody loved that movie. Think I embarrassed myself laughing loudly on the plane to Perth watching that.... I need to buy it.

Focus- not bad. Liked the story and I thought the scamming and stealing part was interesting. Will Smith is in damn fine shape still And I certainly have a crush on our Margot. She is smoking hot Loved the little Aussie jab surely done for her benefit. Deep Web - fascinating. Have read a bit about Silk Road over the years so I was keen to see this doco that takes the story of that and Ulbricht further. Always nice to hear Keanu's dulcet tones. And imagine him and Alex Winter doing Bill & Ted reenactments on breaks

Pitch Perfect 2.
Came home and watched the first one almost immediately. And then realised how much better the first one was.

San Andreas - Not my choice! About what I expected really! But The Rock remains cool. And it was interesting Australia spotting. Spy - I laughed a lot MM is awesome when she gets in to harsh mode. RB is funny as shit and a total bitch. Statham was amusing, Jude gorg as usual, Miranda funny as, Allison her usual fabulous self. Some good little action moments. Simple, easy story. An enjoyable way to spend a few hours in my opinion. Will be getting on BR.

Pitch Perfect 2 - Did not enjoy. I loved the first one, found this one really quite problematic. Disappointed. Jurassic World - Absolutely loved it. Great film.

Was Jurassic World as good (or close to) as the first one? I'm of two minds to watch it. I can't stand reboots (or whatever this is. Sequel? Part 100?) but my friends are begging me to go. I need more convincing.

It's a sequel. And of course it's nowhere near the first one. CP is great given his role. He suits the laconic hero to a tee. The kids are fine, the others are fine. It's BDH that I had the issue with. I found her incredibly irritating. Didn't warm to her at all. Her character is also highly predictable and seriously lacking in any personality beyond cold bitch. Joss had it right just from the previews!! The dinosaurs look fabulous, no denying that. But it's nothing new these days. That's what was so outstanding about JP. It was something we'd never seen in 1993. There is no wonder here that's for damn sure. And like I said ^^^ I don't know if it's just me being me or not, but I was backing the dino's. I didn't give a toss who was eaten human wise. My concern and sympathy was with the "monsters".

I enjoyed it well enough for what it was. The story was sketchy and some things made no sense, but it was what I expected. I didn't want the people or the other dinosaurs to be killed, but seeing all the Brachiosaurus dead upset me a lot more than seeing people be eaten. I loved Chris Pratt, and the kids were ok, but I agree none of the other characters were given enough depth to care about. Claire wasn't likable, she wouldn't even evacuate at first! Realising she had been a huge bitch didn't redeem her at all. I like Vincent D'onofrio, he plays a good villian but I felt he was wasted a bit.

Inside Out. Most of it was good but it did drag in places.
