I haven't had any lessons since I was at school and about the same time my grandma would teach me a few things. Generally if I want to try something new I find a recipie and follow it to the letter, if I like it the next time I cook it I'll experiment a bit and see what works
The only people I've taugh things too are my sister and Xander, my sister is useless and Xander gets bored after a little while

Has anyone taken any cooking classes, or had someone try to teach them to make something? How did it go? Or have you ever tried teaching someone to cook and how frustrating was it?? I had to take cooking classes during my first two years in secondary school. They taught us how to make simple dishes. Never touched cooking after that and forgot everything I've learnt. That just made me not qualified to teach anyone to cook. Just recently I've been learning how to cook. I'm suppose to make dinner once a week and I make simple dishes like pasta. I learn by following the instructions in the cook book. ;D

Yeah we had to do cooking from grades 6 to 9. It was pretty fun.

My ex girlfriend taught me a little how to cook. She was a bad teacher I have tried teaching both my best mate and my sister how to cook some things but they don't listen and just shouldn't be allowed in any kitchen.

My sister and I baked brownies tonight. Here are a couple photos: The action figure is from a cereal box.

That's awesome Bre! They look tasty! The cake came out great, according to my brother the chef, my mum (who has made hundreds of cakes) and my little brother. Yay! I actually made some fishcakes for brunch recently. I was so proud of myself, I took a photo.

Ah, but do they taste any good, guys? And Bre, do you have a stencil for the Bat symbols, or were they handcrafted?

Of course they were delicious! And yeah, the box came with a few stencils. I'm not that talented.

American Brownies are the best, don't ask me how that works . I hope you kept one for me Bre. Maybe it's America's addiction to sugar. I've never had American ones, but I love Aussie ones enough to gorge myself on.

Never had American Brownies either. But I have eaten some pretty good brownies and it's hard see those Americans topping those.

When I started high school, we have a class called Home Economics (you guys have that there right?) , the first dish our teacher Mrs Daziel 'taught' us to cook was cheesy beanos (beans on toast with cheese) haha , then I found out the boys were taught to make Milkshake, (she had a big thing against males, it was weird).

Oh I had Home Economics too. I think the first dish I was taught to make was French Toast. Not really dish I guess...

We had home ec for a term in Year 8. But i did it as an elective in years 9 and 10. Was a total breeze considering we cooked such 'delicacies' as Nachos
