Pie, cake and all that good stuff

I made lemon cupcakes yesterday - so delicious! The icing was super yummy too. I used this recipe: www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1512634/zingy-lemon-cupcakes - super easy but probably need to double as it didn't even make a dozen.

Aww thank you! I've been doing lots of baking lately, I find it really enjoyable! The jam slice was particularly yummy, I couldn't stop eating the crispy edges!

I made a lemon tart today (well, actually, I made it yesterday but it had to chill overnight). It was DELICIOUS but not pretty enough for Instagram It also used a ton of lemons.

I made an apple cake the other day (new recipe) as I had 3 friends over for dessert. 2/3 loved it and 1 was like "NAH TOO DRY". Thanks for the feedback (I honestly don't think it was too dry!).

I do hate a dry cake mate..... Still a tad harsh. Someone makes you dessert from scratch you eat it and shut your lucky mouth!

I reckon it would have been PERFECT straight from the oven with ice cream or custard (we did have it with Connoisseur vanilla

The same friend will be eating the cake (raspberry/almond) from my insta tonight - fingers crossed
