Is anyone else watching this? I watched the first episode last night and I will definitely be continuing with it. It is set in medieval times and based on a book series. The Lannisters seem to be nasty pieces of work and I couldn't work out who the actress who plays the Queen was at first Nice to see "Sarah Conner" back! "Ronan Dex" too as the barbarian leader. Sean Bean is great as Ned Stark too. Took awhile to work out who were his kids though, glad they had that introduction scene Feel sorry for the blond girl that was forced into marriage, her brother is horrible and I was worried she was going to kill herself at a couple of points. So... anyone else watching or interested?

Nice conversation on it so far guys Who are your favourite characters? So far I like Tirion, Jon and Arys (?? not sure of her name, the daughter with the bow). Need to get hold of the remaining episodes to get up to date on it

Dany is a favourite of mine, I like her character growth. You should read the books too if you are interested.

Daenerys, the one forced into marriage in the first episode.

I'm sure the reason you like Dany is her "character growth" babe I don't mind her though actually. She is pretty tough. Ned is cool. But i'm a Sean Bean fan from way back and that helps. Arya rocks. What a legend of a little chick. Wish she would whack her insipid sister. Tyrion amuses me greatly Drogo is.... interesting. HATE Cersei, Joffrey and Jaime of course. But you are supposed to

She was one of my favourites in the books before I saw the show

I know babe. Was just joking around because she is a pretty little blonde who is naked a lot Episode 9 Shattered. My god. I knew no one was safe and Sean Bean wasn't around long but yeah, seeing Ned's head lopped off and Arya running for him was hardcore. Joffrey you are a little bastard and I can't wait for you to die!

We watched episode 3 last night and I am trying to get Bernie to hurry up and get them all so I can catch up I'm halfway through book one though but I don't know what in the books will be a spoiler now so I will put any book comments in spoiler tags just in case. I'm not up to what happened in episode 9 though at least, but can't be far off since Ned is poking around and seems to be getting himself in a lot of trouble at the moment I'm wondering how he dies though, he has just confronted Cersei and told her to leave, Robert is on the hunt (I'm guessing he is either killed or Ned killed before he gets back) and Viserys has just been given his crown. Lot of great complex characters so far, Tirion and Jon remain my favourites from both the book and the series so far. Arya too on the show. I like how it is beginning to get harder to have a "side". I really liked the Starks, still do, but I am siding with Tirion if he takes on the Arryn's and I am suspecting he is going to after what they did to him.

This article amused me. But don't read it if you haven't seen episode 9.

7 eps through and I've finished the first book. What a great series. I'm loving both but I prefer the book atm - more history, more details. Books are always that way for me though. I know this has been renewed for a second second, hopefully that season is a little longer than 10 episodes!
